2016 New Jersey Motorsports Park - Thunderbolt Solo Day
Join the NEQ for our first Advanced High Performance Driving Event at NJMP on Tuesday October 11th for Instructors & solo students immediately following our 2 day HPDE. There will be just two groups (sorted by pace) alternating sessions during the whole day. Passing rules are anywhere the wheels are straight with a passing signal. Expect OVER 4 HOURS of track time per group, so be sure to bring your red jugs and enjoy the lower price of gas in NJ. The event will be held on the Thunderbolt Circuit at NJMP.

What is included:
- 1 day of driving on track with over 4 (yes four) hours of track time per group, per day.
- Morning Track Walk of selected corners
- Optional advanced classroom instruction for all attendees
- Free VIP garage for the first 20 registrations

NJMP Specific Information:
- Tech inspection & Registration will be held Tuesday morning in the event garage at 8am for those not attending the 2 day HPDE prior to this event.
- Priority on the waitlist will be given to attendees of the 2 day HPDE.
Membership requirements:
All participants must be members of the Audi Club of North America (ACNA). To join or update your membership, please go to the ACNA website (http://www.audiclubna.org/) and click on "Join ACNA" at the top of the page. You do not need to own an Audi to join ACNA.
Cancelation Policy (revised 5/24/11): No credits will be given. All cancelations will be processed as a refund minus a cancelation fee as follows:
- $50 Penalty up to 21 days before the event
- $100 from 20 days to 7 days before the event
- No refund within 6 days of the event

Event requirements
Requirements:
- Participants must be 17 years of age or older.

Participants must have prior solo experience at NJMP Thunderbolt or be an instructor for NEQ. Please contact the event master if you are in doubt.
- We reserve the right to ride along with any participant and potentially ask you to leave if you are not driving at a high level and comfortable using your mirrors.
- Priority will be given to those attending the 2 day HPDE in the event of a sell out. All attendees will be placed on a waitlist initially and confirmed no later than 4 weeks prior to the event.
All participants must comply with Chapter 62 of the State of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Racetrack Regulations. Copies of Chapter 62 are available for by clicking here. If you need a hard copy, please contact the NJMP administration office at 856-327-8000.

Tech pre-Inspection:
Well in advance of any on-track driving event, you'll need to get your car pre-inspected by a competent mechanic, who will have to provide a completed and signed copy of the Safety Inspection Checklist form (first page only - Special form for NJ) for you to bring with you to registration. Please get your car inspected at least two weeks before the event to avoid disappointment if the inspection uncovers repairs that must be completed before the car will pass.
The Northeast Region of the Audi Club (NEQ) recognizes several Audi-VW tuners and service centers. They are NEQ supporters with years of experience and scores of satisfied customers. As a benefit for NEQ members they will provide free tech pre-inspection for applicants of our schools. Bring your Safety Inspection Checklist form. After inspection they will sign your form to be sure you are eligible for our event. Naturally there will be a charge for any parts or labor that are additionally required to prepare your vehicle. Two of these sites are APR distributors. They are all participants of our events with much experience in regard to car preparation and advice for upgrades. You will also be happy with the services of any Audi dealership but may utilize another dealership or full-time automotive repair shop at whatever rate you agree to . Be sure to call for appointments well in advance of an event.
