Back by popular demand - The NEQ Endurance Karting Invitational is upon us! 15 teams of 3 drivers each will compete in a 90-minute winner take all endurance karting event hosted at On Track Karting in Wallingford, Connecticut. The winner brings home the greatest, most important trophy in all of motorsport: bragging rights. Following the race we'll head to Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, CT to enjoy craft brews and assorted hors d'oeuvres.
The event starts at On Track Karting in Wallingford, CT. There will be 15 assembled teams of 3 people each competing for gold, and each person will get up to 30 minutes of seat time (if desired). If you wish to register and assemble as a team please let us know at registration, otherwise the team formation will be at random. The race will start with an 8-minute qualifying round for grid position and teams will pit in to change drivers throughout the race. How you communicate throughout the race is up to your team and is part of the fun of and camaraderie of an endurance event! No karting experience is required but be advised these are not "amusement park" go karts. They will corner over 1.5Gs and reach 45 mph on this indoor track, so the racing is fast and physical. This a friendly competition, and no trophies will be awarded.
Following the event, we will make a 30-minute drive to Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, CT. This brewery was named one of America's Ten Best Breweries and has won many awards for their craft beers. Our group will enjoy our own private room and catered finger foods will be provided for 2 hours. The cash bar will be open for your drink purchases with over 2 dozen beers on tap.
Pricing for the entire event to include an 8-minute qualifier, 90-minute endurance karting race, and 2 hours of food, fun, and drinks at a private room in one of America's best breweries is just $56 for NEQ Member in good standing. NEQ members can invite a guest to join the fray and your guest can register for the event through MSR. E-mail the registrar with questions or clarification.
Please Note: The brewery has limited capacity so we cannot allow the option of brewery-only registrations. Please email the event master concerning bringing other people (significant others, etc.) to the brewery.

Arrive @ 2:30 - Check in, fill out waivers, watch required safety videos, get helmets, meet with team to discuss driving order and plans for domination
Qualifying @ 3:15 - 8 minute qualifying heat for your fastest driver. Immediately put kart in grid following heat.
Race @ 3:30 - 5PM - 90 minute Endurance Race, certainly to be followed by 15 minutes of back slapping and general ballyhoo

Event requirements
Bring your own helmet and head sock, or we will provide you with a loaner at no additional cost. A neck brace is required and will be provided. Driving gloves are handy to have if you own them - not only to keep your hands pretty but it can also get cold in there! Long sleeves are also recommended for the chilly air.
Before hitting the track for the first time, all drivers must attend a comprehensive safety briefing and orientation session. The 8-minute briefing video covers basic kart operation, proper use of safety equipment, driver communication systems (which includes signage, lighting, and flagging), and important rules and regulations. Attending this session will help ensure you get the most out of your experience on the track.
When it is time for your race, you will head to the equipment areas, where On Track Karting supplies you with all the safety gear you need to race (of course, patrons are always welcome to bring their own equipment, provided it complies with all of our safety regulations). Drivers are required to wear a full-face helmet with integrated shield (motorcross-type helmets with goggles are not acceptable) and a neck brace.
