NASA at New Jersey Motorsports Park - Lightning

NJMP Lightning- July 24-26 " Summer Sizzle! " 

          HPDE/  Sprint Races/ TT  

FRI: Test/Tune ,  Advanced HPDE 3/4, Competition School, Instructor Clinic

SAT/SUN:   All HPDE groups and Instructors.   HPDE1 drivers are automatically assigned instructors.  

TT and Sprint racers

CLOSED:  All HPDE for Saturday  Use Wait List  in case of cancellations 

CLOSED:  HPDE1  for Sunday

                 

Competition School is for advanced drivers who wish to move on to racing. Cars must be built according to all class and safety rules in CCR and must pass race tech inspection . Drivers must be in full safety equipment ( HANS, suit, shoes and gloves) and have a completed medical form.  Any questions can be directed to bcasella@nasane.com  The full day school consists of classroom and on-track exercises including a short fun race.

Instructor Clinic is for advanced drivers who wish to be trained to become NASA certified Instructors. Clinic consists of classroom, in car exercises and mentoring by senior instructors. Candidates should contact Chief Instructor Jordan Levitt  before registering to insure eligibility.  < jordan.levitt@gmail.com >

Hyperdrives will be available Sat and Sun for $50. One classroom session and one on track session with Instructor. Membership not required for hyperdrive registration.

CAMPING is allowed for the weekend. Campers can enjoy the Clubhouse pool for a $5 pool pass.  Electrical hook-ups are subject to fee from track mgmt.  Paddock access from 7pm on Thursday night.  Guests are permitted but must enter before 10am each day or they can be subjected to track gate fee. Children are welcome BUT must be under adult supervision at all times. Pets must be on leash at all times. Suites and villas at Thunderbolt are rented directly from track office.

IMPORTANT:    If you are registering a convertible car please call our office  1-973-900-7272  before completing registration.  VERY IMPORTANT !!

Detailed info concerning this event will be emailed about 7-10 days before the event. Schedules will be posted on NE website as soon as they are finalized, usually 10-14 days before the event.
