The North Atlantic Audi Club will be offering a hands-on car control clinic at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, NH, on Saturday, May 20, 2017. This clinic is a limited enrollment, family friendly driving event designed to provide participants with increased confidence through behind-the-wheel driving exercises incorporating real-world accident avoidance and defensive-driving techniques.
Participants will enjoy classroom and behind-the-wheel driving instruction focused on understanding vehicle dynamics, anti- lock braking and traction control systems through a series of exercises performed in a safe and controlled environment. Designed for newly-licensed and experienced drivers alike, participants will drive their own vehicle under the supervision of an experienced instructor and will learn how to react to impending danger with confidence, precision and control. Not only is it a great learning experience but also a fun driving experience.
The event requires that you have a valid license or permit. If you are under 18 you will need a parent in attendance at all times. The event cost is $75 for drivers 21 years or younger, and the accompanying parent(s) if the parent chooses to drive as well. The cost for all other adults is $100. The registration fee includes lunch.
The event will be held in a large parking lot at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Students must use their own car, although you may share a car with a friend or parent if you wish. SUVs and pickups are not permitted as the high center of gravity of these vehicles makes them unsuitable for this type of driving event.
The clinic will start at 9:00 AM and finish at 3:00 PM and will run rain or shine so be sure to bring appropriate clothing.
Event requirements
The clinic is open to drivers of all experience levels, and is especially instructive for inexperienced drivers. Participants must present a valid driver’s license or learners Permit (NH teenagers need to show proof of age as NH does not issue learners permits, and sign a liability waiver. A parent must accompany drivers under 18, as well as sign the waiver on their behalf. Participants must provide their own vehicle, which must be in good running order and pass a technical inspection, which will examine tires, brakes, fluids, lights, and other essentials. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate trucks, SUVs or minivans.
Please do not register for someone else (a spouse or a child or a friend). Instead, please create an account for the other person using their email address. Our registration system requires a unique email address for each and every registrant.
