NAAC 2019 - Fall Tour

Have you ever seen Plymouth Rock? Ever wanted to know what it must have been like to be a settler in the 1700s? Or maybe you just want to take a casual drive around on a Saturday?  Well, if any of this interest you: You need to come to the fall tour!

We’ll meet on Saturday October 26th at Plymouth Plantation -137 Warren Avenue, Plymouth, MA 02360. Please proceed to the back of the parking lot, as that is where we will be assembling. There will be coffee and light pastries to nosh on while getting ready. Plan on a 10am or thereabouts arrival for a departure promptly at 10:30 am. 

Our route is just over 90 miles and will take us along bay side coast to Manomet point.  Yes, we have confirmed that the Lobster Pound will be open, and you can get some “to go” lobsters (You might want to bring a cooler.)  The tour will continue along the coast to Ellisville park where we will stop to take in the views. We will then head in-land to the Myles Standish State Forest, and drive for 10+ miles within the park. The forest is home to the second largest Pine Barren in the United States, and some beautiful “kettle ponds.” The tour will exit the forest, and head to Plymouth Rock park for a photo opportunity.  We will proceed to the restaurant for those that wish to join (tour goers will be responsible for their own bill.) After lunch the tour will proceed back to the Plymouth Plantation and those who are interested, we will tour the plantation (Fees will be collected at the Plymouth Plantation.)

If you cannot attend the whole tour, we will publish “Jump - in and out” points along the route, but you must register for the event.  Lunch will be open to all and dinners will be responsible for their bill.
