Motorplex Mania at GoPro Motorplex
EVENT DETAILS
Practice session: 8 minutes in length
Qualifying session: Green-White-Checkered, karts will be released from the grid one at a time and must accelerate upon entering the racing surface.
Pre-Final: 8 laps, grid set by qualifying
Final: 14 laps, grid set by Pre-Final
Trophy Dash: Briggs qualifiers TBD; Rental Kart will consist of those not transferring to the Final. Lineups TBD
Rental Kart assignments: Random kart (will be posted) for practice/Qualifying. Karts will be lined up on the grid before Pre-Final and Final, drivers will pick their kart/starting position in the order they qualified. Driver may select to change karts however they will move to the rear of the field.
Attention Rental Kart Racers:
Motorplex Mania events that include Rental Karts will have a separate year end championship that will conclude with a stand-alone event scheduled for November 22, 2021. We currently have 10 events scheduled but reserve the right to add in events throughout the year. Only a driver’s top 8 races will count toward their point total which will be re-set on Championship Night (format, conditions TBD). The weight for each of these events will be 190#s.
Event requirements
All participants between the ages of 16-18 must have their guardian print and sign the minor release and have it NOTARIZED! This must be brought to registration the day of the event.
