Minnesota Valley Winter Rally

A TSD rally is about 130miles in length, mostly gravel roads wondering through the Minnesota River Valley around Belle Plain, Henderson and Le Sueur. This is a great rally for beginners as the instructions will be pretty simple but should be challenging enough for the experienced folks as well. Rally will start before sunset, most of the rally will be run after dark and the roads will likely be slippery so make sure your headlights work and you've got some good winter tires.

Registration will likely run from about 1:30pm to 3:30pm with the first car leaving on the Odo check about 4:00pm. The rally will start and end at Andy's Bar and Grill in Belle Plaine. The first cars will return to Andy's Bar and Grill at approx 9pm.

This rally will use the MiRally GPS control system. The MiRally system is very similar to the timing used on the Historic Monte Carlo rally. 

Contestants need to download and sign up for the FREE MiRally Crono app at the appropriate place for your smart phone. This is MANDATORY if you wish to be scored. details on how to do this will be in an email after you register.

Each car will need to have an iOS or Android device running the Crono app. This app monitors your location using GPS and reports it to a central Timing and Scoring facility in the cloud.

The Rabbit Rally app is optional. It is FREE from Google Play or Apple App store. You will receive an RBK file that greatly simplifies the running of the rally. It should be run on a different device than Crono. The Rally Rabbit app makes it easier for people to score well on the event as it helps you stay on time. If you are proficient at timekeeping your current method should continue to serve you well.
