TSD Rally 2: A 2021 MBCA Peachtree TSD Championship Event

It is time for the second rally of the 2021 MBCA Peachtree TSD Rally Championship Series!
The rally is going to be “tour” – style Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) competition. The rally will be relatively straight-forward, all significant turns are clearly identified with mileages provided on the Route Instructions. The goal on the rally is to maintain “on time” driving on the timed portions of the rally according to given instructions.
MBCA membership is not required to participate. You are not required to drive Mercedes-Benz, though it is encouraged. If you are a non-member, you will have an opportunity to join the Mercedes-Benz Club of America, Peachtree Section.
This rally is the second of the four rallies, which will constitute the 2021 MBCA Peachtree TSD Championship Series. MBCA members will earn championship points based on their overall finish in this event.
This event will use the Richta GPS Checkpoints app to record arrival times at checkpoints. A smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with GPS is required during the running of this rally. Details about obtaining, installing and using this app is available at the Rally Resources webpage on the MBCA Peachtree website.
Note: This event will also use the Speedwaiver process, which also requires a smartphone with internet access.
We will meet at the Home Depot parking lot in Winder, GA (649 Carl-Bethlehem Rd
Winder, GA 30680) at 11:30 a.m. The Home Depot is locating near the intersection of Hwy 316 and Hwy 81. The rally will start from the parking lot of the Home Depot, the route will take us on back roads thought small towns at eastern part of Atlanta metro area. Driving through the rally route from the start to the finish will take about 90 minutes. The rally will end up at the Tribble Mill Park in Gwinnett County, Grayson, GA. All roads on the rally route are paved roads.
At the Tribble Mill Park we have reserved the Maple Pavilion for gathering. There are a few picnic tables, but just in case please bring folding chairs. There will be plenty of parking and also restrooms close by. Please bring your own picnic lunch or snack. Access to the Tribble Mill Park is free, however the entry fee per car for the event will cover the rental expense of the Pavilion.
After the picnic lunch, please take time to explore the park. Tribble Mill is a large park and has lot of offer. Please check out the link to the park below, but keep in mind that the two piers located close to the pavilions are closed until further notice due to maintenance issues.
To maintain safety in this time of pandemic, the event will follow social distancing recommendations. Wear masks when closer than 6 feet to other attendees. We want all of our members to feel safe at our events.
General Instructions and Route Instructions for the rally will be provided by e-mail prior to the event, and participants will be expected to print out their own copies. Waivers will be signed electronically as part of the registration process. Organizers will send the scoring results by e-mail.
The Terms of Participation for MBCA events are attached below. Please read them. By registering for this event, you are accepting the Terms of Participation.
Per the Terms of Participation, the vehicle being used in the event shall be insured with at least $100,000.00 per person bodily injury and property damage insurance that will be in effect for the entire duration of the events
Membership in MBCA is NOT required to participate in the rally, but is required to score points in the Peachtree Section Championship
A Mercedes-Benz vehicle is NOT required to participate in the rally
