About this event
Major League of Karting (MLK) was formed to bring karting back to its roots. The main goal of the series is to make karting affordable and provide newcomers exposure to professional karting events. The LO206 classes will attract newcomers to karting and veterans alike, while the reintroduction of Direct Drive engine classes will attract the best professional drivers from around the country.
MLK will be hosting a “Shootout” race October 4th at the Willow Springs kart track. Format will be Saturday practice hosted by Willow Springs and Sunday race day…kids will not have to miss school because of the race. This “Shootout” race will introduce racers to the series and provide them with opportunities to win FREE RACE ENTRY and TIRES for the first three (3) races of 2016.
The 2016 Major League Karting series will feature two separate three (3) race series. Champions will be crowned for each three race series. Plus, overall Champions will be crowned for the highest combined points scored over both three race series.

2016 Championship Format
Two separate three (3) race Championship series (6 races total for season). Class Champions will be crowned for each separate three (3) race series.
Overall winner for each class will be crowned for the highest accumulated points over both three (3) race series…points from all six (6) races will be counted.
Tracks will include: Adams Motorsports, Santa Maria Karting Association, Willow Springs Raceway, Streets of Willow, Buttonwillow (not in order)

Free overnight camping!!!
Tires, oil, etc. NOT a required purchase through MLK. We highly encourage you to purchase these items through your local kart shop or team.
All 4-Cycle Classes will use 91 Octane pump gas. Gas Station will be determined prior to race, stay tuned for information. All other classes will run MS VP98 gas and must provide your own. Fuel will NOT be sold at track.
