Sunday, Aug. 2nd we'll enjoy an energetic drive through the Santa Cruz mountains, eventually ending-up at Carlsen Porsche in Redwood City for their annual Concours d'Elegance. And lunch is on the house, which is a v.nice touch. The FunRun is 17 to Bear Creek Road to 236 to 9 to 35 to Page Mill to 280 to 84 to Haven Road. Our starting grid is in Los Gatos. At 8.30 we coffee up, use restrooms, sign insurance waivers, attend safety briefing and divide into Spirited, Sport and Touring groups. Starting at 9 o’clock we move out behind our respective run group Lead cars.
Here are some things you need to know: Due to popularity of these Drives, GGR FunRuns are open to GGR members only, forty [40] Porsche cars only. GGR FunRun fee is $10 per car, non-refundable. New drivers will receive a Golden Gate name badge. A week prior to the Drive you will receive a Google map and more logistical details.
During buffet lunch at Carlsen Porsche you’ll have the opportunity to get to know fellow GGR members, which is half the fun of these Fun Runs. Remember our motto: " It’s not the cars, it’s the people…”
