The NEQ Club offers great driver's schools that focus on safety, training, fun  and is a great place to start to learn high performance driving.

Who we are and what we do

The Northeast Chapter of the Audi Club of North America, or "NEQ" for short, is a non-profit organization which was founded for the purpose of driver education and safety training. To that end, the club runs approximately 6 events at motorsport facilities around the Northeast, including Lime Rock Park, New Jersey Motorsports, Watkins Glen International, and Mont Tremblant. Our events teach safe driving techniques and both low and high speed vehicle handling. In addition, the club usually runs Winter Driving Schools, social events, including Fun Runs, Social in NYC and other social gatherings.

When you join the Audi Club of North America, if you reside in the NEQ chapter area, you are automatically put on our mailing list, which means you should receive an election ballot towards the end of the year. If you do not, please contact the ACNA's office and confirm that your mailing address is correct.

In an effort to keep our members informed of upcoming NEQ events we have established an e-mail notification process. Please make sure nationals has your e-mail address.

Event requirements

Membership Requirements:

To participate in this event you must be a member of Audi Club North America (ACNA).  To join ACNA and receive your membership number please go to AudiClubNA.org

Once you have this number you will be able to register for all future NEQ events.

Vehicle Requirements

The newer generation of driver's school applicants often bring vehicles whose performance is beyond their driving ability. Because of this, the NEQ Board of Directors passed the following resolution which requires the vehicle to more closely match the driver's ability.

  1. Non-solo applicants - Those drivers who have not soloed at NEQ events.
    • Vehicle must be Registered and Street Legal
    • Vehicle must be insured
    • Vehicle must have DOT Street Tires with a treadwear rating of 140
  2. Solo applicants
    • Vehicle must be Registered and Street Legal
    • Vehicle must be insured
    • Vehicle must have DOT legal tires
  3. Instructors
    • Any tires acceptable
  4. All convertibles must have permanent roll bars and meet the Broomstick rule described HERE

Tech pre-Inspection

Well in advance of any on-track driving event, you'll need to get your car pre-inspected by a competent mechanic, who will have to provide a completed and signed copy of the Safety Inspection Checklist form (first page only) for you to bring with you to registration. Please get your car inspected at least two weeks before the event to avoid disappointment if the inspection uncovers repairs that must be completed before the car will pass.

The Northeast Region Quattro Club recognizes several Audi-VW tuners and service centers. They are NEQ supporters with years of experience and scores of satisfied customers. As a benefit for NEQ members, they will provide free tech pre-inspection for applicants of our schools. Bring your Safety Inspection Checklist form. After inspection they will sign your form to be sure you are eligible for our event. Naturally there will be a charge for any parts or labor that are additionally required to prepare your vehicle. Two of these sites are APR distributors. They are all participants of our events with much experience in regard to car preparation and advice for upgrades. You will be happy with their services without the worry of dealing with a Audi-VW dealership or corner repair shop. Be sure to call for appointments well in advance of an event.

A helmet with a SNELL SA10 or SA05 rating are the only helmets that may be used.

No more M (motorcycle) helmets will be allowed.
