About this event

This performance rally event consists of a spectator stage (the Steele Subaru Power Stages) on Friday night in the city of Dartmouth, NS, with the main event happening on Saturday in the rural area of Noel, NS. The entire event (Steele Subaru Power Stages, 27km, &  Saturday stages, 126km), will approximately be 153km. Saturday will have 220km of transit on relatively smooth pavement. The Steele Subaru Power Stages will take place in a gravel quarry. These stages are approximately 5.5km long on graded gravel about 1-3 car widths wide. Road condition is excellent. A reseeding will take place at the conclusion of the Steele Subaru Power Stages to determine Saturday mornings start order. Saturday consists of 6 unique road sections; one loop that will be run twice in each direction and 2 other roads that will be run twice in each direction. There will be 4 legs of 3 stages each, two 20minute services and one 30minute service with a reseeding midway. The stages will be run on the closed gravel and dirt forestry roads of Ledwidge Lumber in Tennecape NS and Crown forestry roads. The stages are mostly single lane in width with varied surfaces, ranging from smooth gravel to packed soil.

Registration Fee: $400 Prior to August 8th at 23h59 (500$ for entries received after this date)

Event requirements

Eligibility as per CARS GCR&R, Eligibility of Crew (pg 27-31) (see www.carsrally.ca, click on "My CARS Info", "Documents", "Competitor Documents", then "2015 CARS Rule Book").

A completed CARS Registration Form/Waiver must be signed by the Driver, Co-Driver and Entrant by the close of registration (this will be supplied to you at the event).

Written permission from a parent or guardian for participation in the rally for persons under the legal age of majority for the province in which the event takes place. In Nova Scotia this permission would be required for any one 17 years of age or younger.

The following must also be completed and available by the close of registration:

a. Provincial, or equivalent, driver’s licence for any crew member listed as a driver.

b. Vehicle registration for the competition vehicle and any service vehicle

c. Third person liability insurance covering such vehicles.

The registrar may choose to verify compliance with any aspect of the self-declaration.

Competitors licensed by foreign ASNs - Rally America (RA) or National Auto Sport Association of Rally Sport (NASA)- may compete in CARS- sanctioned events using their licenses and their sanctioning body’s competitor eligibility regulations. NASA or RA license-holders must also have a CARS entry permit, which is available thru the CARS office (please contact the Ledwidge Lookoff Rally Organizer if you would like assistance with this application).
