LAPS for Charity - Club Race - LIMITED TICKETS
Summit Point - Summit Point CircuitAbout this event
As part of the Club Race weekend at Summit Point Raceway September 23, 2017, the Founders' Region will hold our annual LAPS FOR CHARITY event. At lunchtime, approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, individuals will be able to drive their own cars around the Summit Point track behind a pace car. See the entire track from the best of all vantage points: the driver's seat, just like the racers!
PCA Potomac appreciates your participation in our Parade Lap event program and we hope you enjoy your opportunity to drive/ride on a professional race track. By participating, your donation will help the Carol Jean Cancer Foundation raise funds to our programs which give aid and solace to those afflicted with cancer and their families.
For a minimum $25 donation (per car), participants will get about 15 minutes on the track behind pace cars. Any type of vehicle (car, truck, SUV) is welcome, provided that the driver and each passenger have operational seat belts. No helmets or other safety equipment are required. These are parade laps, so no racing or passing will be allowed.
We have a limit of how many cars we can handle so we need to have a count early as this is open to all club members not just those attending the DE. Individuals who have not registered ahead of time will only be allowed to participate if we are below limit.
In addition, we invite you to stick around for the afternoon to watch the races. Race cars from all over the east coast will be participating in this National event. The races will even include a vintage class race. All are welcome to purchase tickets to the BBQ dinner Saturday night. Enjoy the catered BBQ and get to mingle with the drivers and their support crews.
DO NOT ARRIVE LATE, AS THERE ARE WAIVERS TO COMPLETE AND A SHORT INFORMATIONAL INSTRUCTION SESSION.
For more information, please contact Chip Taylor or communityservice@pcapotomac.org.
