MCO at Calabogie August 1

About this event

This is the fourth event of the MCO Lapping Season, held in partnership with the Ontario TIme Attack series.  August 1 is a lapping session only; and we invite interested participants to join us on August 2 for the Time Attack event.

Your entry fee includes a spot in one of three run groups, and driver instruction should you be a new or emerging lapping participant.

Event Schedule

  • Registration: 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM
    • sign waivers & check-in
  • Sound Check: Opens at 7:00 AM
  • Driver's Meeting: 8:40 AM
  • First Group on Track: 9:00 AM
  • Novices on Track: 10:00 AM

The MCO  prides itself on running safe, efficient, and quality lapping events, and we are confident that you will be pleased with the venue and instruction available to you. This event is open to convertibles with appropriate roll-over protection (automated, or a roll bar).

Event requirements

Vehicle Technical Inspection Form

At morning check-in, each participant will be expected to provide a completed Vehicle Technical Self-Declaration Form. As always, participants are encouraged to have a professional mechanic complete the inspection. MCO member & partner, Ralf Koulaib of Canadian Tire’s Carling Avenue location can assist with any and all inspection needs. Please call 613-725-3111, choose the menu options to get to Automotive Service and ask for Ralf.

All vehicles must also pass Calabogie Motorsports Park's sound level testing.

Convertible/Open-Top Vehicles

These events are open to convertibles with appropriate roll-over protection (automated, or a roll bar).

Helmets

All participants must wear a helmet in conformity with the ASN Canada Lapping Regulations. Snell 2000 Helmets are no longer valid.

Valid Helmets are those with any of the following certifications:

  • FIA 8860-2004
  • Snell 2010 SA or SAH
  • Snell 2010 M, Snell 2010 K
  • Snell 2005 SA, Snell 2005 M or Snell 2005 K
  • SFI Foundation 31.1A, 31.2A or 31.1/2005

If you do not have a suitable, please contact to Calabogie Motorsports Park to arrange a rental in advance.

Rules

MCO Lapping/HPDE Days are run under the ASN Canada's Lapping Regulations, which are available in English and French. Every participant is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the Regulations, in particular their responsibilities under the Regulations.
