About this event

Come and join us in our season closing DE event of the 2010 ESR Ferrari Club of America season at Watkins Glen International Thu-Sun Sept 2-5. FOUR Days on the track!!!
This has been a GREAT track event year for the Empire State Region, and we're going out in style with the drivers from Ferrari of North America's Challenge Series on track at Watkin's Glen throughout the four day Labor Day weekend. We also get to be a part of the 10th Anniversary ART of FERRARI, in and around Corning, NY. Awesome!
A rundown of events:
- Wednesday and Thursday night will begin at our home base Radisson Hotel of Corning, NY http://www.radisson.com/corningny hosting a cocktail reception while you meet your instructor, sign into the track event and have your car’s tech inspection completed in advance of the event.
- Each morning we’ll meet you at the track bright and early as we unpack and get settled in. Official driver’s meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. and we’ll be on the track for 8:50 a.m. to begin the parade laps to warm up man/woman & machine.
- The mornings and afternoons will be filled with one on one driver coaching, video feedback and lots and lots of seat time.
- Ferrari North America is joining us at WGI with the Ferrari Challenge series, and it'll be a SPECTATOR EVENT at WGI -- with thousands of paying spectators in the stands watching YOU! This event will be much same as our other very popular club Drivers Education events, with four run groups of varying experience levels. It's a four day event, with Thursday being reserved just for our drivers and instructors. The Ferrari 430 Challenge series will be sharing the track with us on the remainder of the three days, so we'll be running intermingled with the Ferrari Challenge sessions. The Challenge racers will be taking only 1.5 hours out of each of those three day, so track time for you will be almost as much, and as the event progresses, we hope to be combining run groups to afford you even more track time -- we were able to do that at our May WGI event, and folks got over 3+ hours/day on the track. (see tentative example schedule).
- Friday evening- Art of Ferrari Show and Display on Market St., Corning, NY, 5-9:00 p.m. Ferrari and exotic car judging. Bring it shiny or bring it grimy (track grime that is). There will be an award for the best track dirt displayed!
- Saturday evening-Aircraft and Exotic Cars at the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center, Corning-Elmira Airport. 6:00 p.m -Cocktails, viewing, hor'd oevres, cigars. 7:30 p.m.-AOF Awards Dinner. Go to http://www.artofferrari.org/event.html for more info on AOF events.

Some Important Things
There are NO garage spaces left. You can put yourself on a waitlist (go to A La Carte/Add-ons), in case someone with a garage cancels, but it is not likely at this time. There is parking in the paddock.
The paddock: Paddock space is very limited due to the Challenge Series Race. Car trailers and haulers that are 3 or more cars in size can pay $1000 to park on the inside paddock. We will assign you a spot. The outside paddock (outside the fence) is free to park for large trailers and haulers. Trailers that are 1 or 2 cars, and track cars, can park for free in designated available space in the inside paddock. See map here
Driver packages are available which include track, catered meals, or items a la carte. This is a spectator event, so please be aware that every warm body must either be a paid driver, or a paid spectator. This includes crew. ALL packages come with TWO Guest Credential (good for all days). Additional guest credentials can be purchased. All fees are per driver/person. Wednesday Cocktail Reception at the Radisson & Thursday Reception & Show are included in all packages.
Early bird registration thru 8/15/2010 - postmarked afterwards must add $75.
