It's Karting Time!
In a never-before-seen event at K1 Speed, Cal Club Autocross is putting on a Pro Solo Super Challenge bracket event for its members to determine who is the fastest karter!
Here’s how it works: you get 10 qualifying laps to set a fast time. We will then sort each person’s fastest time into a 32-person bracket (1 vs. 32, 2 vs. 31, etc). You will then drive six laps during each subsequent elimination round (first lap is to get you on track, the next four will be at speed, and one to exit). If you have a better time than your opponent, you move on to the next round until a winner is decided!
To sum up:
-Registration is open to the first 36 people
-Guaranteed 10 qualifying laps
-5 bracket rounds to determine a winner
-Guaranteed fun for one hour!
-Cost: $40 per person
Event requirements
A few reminders from K1:
· All drivers must arrive at 11:40 a.m.
· All drivers under 18 will need to have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian on site. If a parent/guardian is not present then these waivers can be found online and filled out in advance.
· The height requirement for Adult karts is 58".
· The height requirement for Junior karts is 48".
· Closed toed shoes are recommended and hair past shoulder length should be pulled back while racing.
· All drivers will need to be registered into the registration terminals before they can be added into a race. Please allow some time for this.
