Historic Tapoco Lodge
Since 1930, countless visitors have created lifelong memories at Historic Tapoco Lodge, Situated on 120 acres in the lush mountainous region of the Nantahala National Forest on the banks of the cascading Cheoah River, Tapoco is well known for its hiking, rafting, kayaking, fishing and mountain biking. Their proximity to the world famous Cherohala Skyway and the Tail of the Dragon makes this a favorite destination for sports car enthusiasts like ourselves. With both upscale and riverside patio dining, spacious gathering areas and breathtaking views, the lodge itself is the ideal spot for this PCAR Touring weekend outing.
This great Porsche drive will start from Atlanta > Telco Plains, TN > Cherohala Skyway > Robbinsville, NC > Tapoco Lodge > Tail of Dragon > Blood Mountain, GA > Atlanta. Two driving days of some of the finest scenic Porsche roads in North Georgia, Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina. With spending the evening at Tapoco Lodge our driving time on the first day will be reasonable, allowing the group socializing time at the lodge that evening and a relaxed pleasurable drive back home on Sunday as a group or as you please.
