About this event
We are launching a project to improve the bleachers overlooking the Corkscrew at the west end of the HPR paddock in memory and honor of Jerry Schouten. Please help us with this project by making a donation in Jerry's honor. You may donate here via MotorsportReg.com in increments of $10.00.
Jerry Schouten was a long-time club racer and track supporter with both PCA and RMVR. His dedication to his passion helped bring together the multiple clubs in CAMA in order to bring High Plains Raceway to fruition. Some believe that HPR would not exist today, had it not been for Jerry's efforts! Others have recounted remembering the day Jerry loaded these very bleachers onto his flatbed trailer at Pueblo Motorsports Park and hauled them out to HPR.
Jerry passed away in 2013 from injuries suffered in a single car incident during the annual Rocky Mountain Region PCA Club Race. His friendship, enthusiasm for the sport, and infectious smile will be missed by all.
Please help us honor Jerry as a friend, racer, and HPR founder by donating to the Jerry's Bleachers Project. Any remaining donations will be used for other HPR improvement projects.
