About this event
This event is for drivers new to the sport of autocross who are looking for some one-on-one coaching and advise. It is NOT intended for experienced drivers looking to test out their car's setup. Unlike some Autocross Schools we've done in the past, this one will be more than just a regular autocross that is not timed. We intend to set up a variety of individual elements typically seen on most autocross courses so that drivers can practice basic concepts over and over again. We may change to a full autocross course after lunch, giving students a chance to put together everything they learned in the morning exercises. Instructors will be on hand to offer in-car coaching to all students.
Event Schedule:
Registration / Check-In: 8:00 - 9:00 am *
Tech Inspection: 8:00 - 9:15 am
Novice Walkthrough: 9:15 am
Driver's Meeting: 9:30 am
Start of Driving Exercises: 10:00 am
* Everyone must check-in at the registration table, even if you registered online.
Entry Fees:
HSCC members: $20
Non-members: $25
(On-site registration costs an additional $10, regardless of member status. Avoid the fee by registering and paying online right now.)
Becoming a member of HSCC:
Membership in HSCC is not required to attend this school. However, if you think you will continue coming to our events you can click here to join Highlands Sports Car Club online through Motorsport Reg. The process is basically identical to registering for an event. Once your payment has been made, you will be able to register for all our events at the discounted member price. All it takes is 4 events to pay for your membership fee.

Event requirements
Insurance Liability Waiver:
EVERYONE, including any passengers or spectators, MUST sign the insurance waiver. Basically, this applies to anyone on the property for the duration of the event. No exceptions.
Minimum Age Requirements:
Drivers must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid, full driver's license (provisional licenses are not acceptable). Kart drivers must be at least 12 years old. Any driver under the age of 18 must also have a minor waiver on file with HSCC management. This waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian in the presence of an HSCC officer. Passengers are permitted in the front seat only and they must meet the same requirements as drivers.
Proper car numbers are not required for this event (this is the only time you'll ever see that statement). We will have some examples of proper car number on hand to illustrate what we do require for regular autocross events.
