We're all revved up for our Golden Gate Spring Fun Run, Hollister to Coalinga. We'll meet 9 o'clock in Hollister [address to follow]. and after preliminaries head south on Airline Highway/CA25, past Pinnacles Nat'l Park to CA 198 and then east to Coalinga for lunch. With all this warm weather, I can promise you a very green and scenic vallley drive in ranch country. Highway 25 alternates between long straights and fun twisties and back again, while CA198 has great sweepers. You won't be disappointed, believe me.
We will again divide into appropriate groups, depending on drivers' desired pace. Because this Fun Run is not a leisurely "destination tour," you'll need to give some thought to your diving style. This is an energetic drive and we want members to be comfortable and above all, safe.
While the drive is officially only a "morning" event ending with lunch, your total portal to portal time makes it more of a day trip. For example, you should allow approx. 1 hr from South Bay to Hollister+2 hrs to Coalinga+1 hr lunch+3 hrs back to Bay Area=7 hrs all told. Please note: Event open to Porsche Club of America members, from any region. Register passenger as well as driver when you sign up on www.motorsportsreg.com.
