Race 1 - Sunday, April 6th - Long track layout, clockwise

Race 2 & 3 - Saturday & Sunday, May 3rd-4th - Long track layout, clockwise

Race 4 - Sunday, June 8th - Short track layout, clockwise

Race 5 - Saturday, July 26th - Long track layout, clockwise

Race 6 & 7 - Saturday & Sunday, September 6th-7th - Long track layout, clockwise

Race 8 - Sunday, October 5th - Short track layout, clockwise

For all GAIN Group Summer Series events, there will be a practice day preceding the race day. 

 

Weekend Tentative Schedule

Saturday

Kid Kart Session 1 (8:30 to 9:30am)

Practice - All Groups (5 Laps Each)

Qualifying - All Groups (4 Laps Each)

Lunch Break - One Hour (Kid Karts will run throughout the lunch hour)

Heat 1 - All Groups

Heat 2 - All Groups

Sunday

Kid Kart Session 3 (8:30-9:30am)

Practice - All Groups (5 laps each)

Pre-Final - All Groups

Final - All Groups

First sessions of the day commence immediately following the drivers meeting.

Trophies will only be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each class running together on the Sunday Final

 

We run rain or shine. VIKA reserves the right to cancel an event at any time due to prevailing ice or snow.

We will be running the club races under the following supplemental regulations found on the VIKA website here.

We have been given the opportunity to run our karting program at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, therefore we must be aware of noise issues in consideration of our neighbors. It is imperative that we keep a low profile as far as noise is concerned. All kart maintenance should be done before you arrive at the track.

No pets allowed as per Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit rules.

Maximum 40 karts per run group - VIKA officials will adjust as necessary.

ANY KART NOT REGISTERED THOUGH MOTORSPORT REG PRIOR TO THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE WILL BE CHARGED AN EXTRA $75.

All new drivers will need to show proof of birth date prior to their first VIKA race. Please note officials reserve the right to request proof of birth date at any time during an event.

Documents accepted: Passport, Birth Certificate, BCID or Care Card.

 

Friday

Full day practice provides practice time.

Expect a forthcoming parking map, unloading trailers and pit area setup should be done on this day if feasible.

Saturday & Sunday

One practice session per class on each day, please practice Friday.

Submit tech forms to Pit Boss during qualifying lineup; missing forms lead to disqualification.

Verify transponders on practice list before qualifying.

Ensure push-down bumpers are unclipped at grid before Heats, Pre-Final and Final.


Final schedule and race lengths will be announced once registration has been completed.

 

Transponder numbers are required for all karts. You must provide the number during registration. If you do not own a transponder, you may rent one for $25 a day. Please preregister for a transponder by entering 'RENTAL' in the transponder number field during registration. We have a limited number of transponders available and they will be rented out in the order you register via motorsport reg. Failure to have your transponder number registered to your kart will result in no practice times being posted. 

Your payment method will NOT be charged until race weekend.

 

Total Fees in CAD$ (excluding GST):

$300 - Weekend Primary Entry

$50 - Additional Class for Primary Entry

$200 - Additional Family Member Entry

$125 - Individual Race Entry (Saturday OR Sunday)

$50 - Additional Class For Individual Race Entry

$75 - Additional Family Member Entry (Saturday OR Sunday)

$75 - Friday Practice Fee (per driver, not per entry)

$50 - Kid Kart Race Weekend

$25 - Kid Kart Practice Day

Non-Members:

$25 - Day Membership

Other (Payment in person):  

$20 - Pit Pass (access to pit road/hot pit for pit crew, 1 crew per kart)

$10 - Spectator Pass

No refunds are given on driver/crew/member cancellation.

Event requirements

All Race Day Kart Entries MUST be completed in MotorsportReg.com. NO LATE PAPER ENTRIES will be accepted.

  1. If you do not already have one, create an account on MotorsportReg.com after reading these steps.
  2. Once logged in, click "My Account" at the top right.
  3. Please use proper capitalization for all of your information as it will appear on the race results. This includes vehicle information.
  4. Review kart making sure to enter your preferred kart number verify your transponder number is correct.
  5. Return to this page, enter the event and pay online.

All entries on MotorSportReg require a credit card to complete the registration process, and payment will be processed once online registration closes. If you do not have a credit card, please contact the Registrar to make other arrangements.

You will receive an email confirmation of your entry automatically from the MotorsportReg.com system.

Some classes will be combined due to time constraints or limited entries. The race director reserves the right to move any driver from one class to another. 

We run rain or shine. Rain tires are allowed.

When you arrive at the track please check in at registration to sign waivers, please verify your tech form is complete.
