About this event
This is planned to be a 'no frills' event dedicated to SINGLE CLASS FV RACING - something that has pretty much disappeared for SCCA Formula Vee in recent years. At this time, we have no plans for prize money or contingencies - just a place to race against "your own kind" (and no one else). As far as we know at this time, there will NOT be a test day associated with this event. There is also no 'social' event planned at this time. However, if enough cars sign up, one might be arranged.
The event will consist of 6 sessions for each of the groups - FV, F1600, F600, F Atlantic, DUFFUS (basically club ford) and F2000. Formula Vee will be the first session each morning and first after lunch as well, so you can start your tow home early on Sunday if you don't want to hang around and watch the other races. We are not yet sure if this will be a spectator event.
This will be sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, therefore SCCA GCR compliance and current annual tech is required as well as a current membership and Full competition License (no Novice Permits). Medical insurance will be provided through the normal SCCA Club Racing program, so it will work just as it does in all other SCCA Club Race events.
This is a FIRST TIME event for the organizers - we have NO funds and NO BANK ACCOUNT. In order to keep the entry fee as low as possible, we will not be accepting credit cards for this event - only checks. The checks will need to be processed (turned into REAL MONEY) before the event weekend in order to pay for the track time, so keep that in mind and set aside your money early :-). We expect 'services' to be pretty much just like any other SCCA event .. only better.
The entry fee is currently $450 and we need a minimum of 25 cars to make that fee work. If we get more than that, we will "do something" with the excess - we are not in this to make money - just to try something that we might all REALLY LIKE! Unfortunately, if we fall short of 25 cars, we might need to augment the entry fee by some amount. Rest assured that we will be working toward the MINIMUM possible entry fee. Any needed increase will be addressed via email blast as soon as we can make a determination. Hopefully, everyone will get on board early and we'll all have a great time at a great Single Class Event.

Event requirements
This is the FIRST event from USFV1200, so MSR will ask for some "member" information before you get to the actual registration page. Please just enter your SCCA (or other reciprocal organization) information.
This event is being promoted by USFV1200 (Brian McCarthy) and held under the Auspices of Formula Race Promotions (FRP) and sanctioned under SCCA Pro Racing.
All payments must be by check and they will be cashed NOT before June 1 so that we can pay FRP. If you cancel before that time your check will be destroyed - please contact the Registrar by email (Steve at WedgeRacing dot com) and let me know that you have cancelled so that we can pull your check from the pile. Beyond that, we will endeavor to work with you if you have unforeseen issues that preclude your attendance at the last minute - it will depend on the remaining car count and the exact amount owed to FRP.
SCCA has reciprocal licensing agreements with some other organizations - please check with SCCA National Headquarters if you are not SCCA licensed and would like to participate. If you take this route, please advise the Registrar by email (Steve at WedgeRacing dot com) and include copies of any appropriate correspondence.
