FunRun: Morgan Hill to Carmel

FUNRUN-OF-THE-MONTH ANNOUNCEMENT

For those of you who have yet to try one of our wildly popular FunRuns, here’s yet another opportunity. On July 11, we’ll again be off to a winery destination, after we first negotiate the curves and elevation changes in Carmel Valley Road. We’ll meet in Morgan Hill at 8.30 for registration and drivers’ briefing. Then it’s off to Laguna Seca racetrack for a pit stop before heading over to Carmel Valley and its twisties. The FunRun ends for lunch and wine tasting at a winery in the famous Santa Lucia Highlands wine appellation near Soledad. Should be good times for all.

Here are some details. The Drive is open to GGR members only; Porsche cars only. The cost of the pick nick lunch/wine tasting is yet TBD; probably around $35 or so. The GGR FunRun fee is $10 per car and is non-refundable. New drivers will receive a Golden Gate name badge. A week prior to the Drive we will send you a Google map and other logistical details.

Drivers self-select one of the 3 run groups most appropriate to their own driving style: Spirited, Sporting and Touring. This is an energetic drive and we want members to be comfortable in their chosen group and above all, safe. So, evaluate your driving style realistically.
