About this event
Join your FSR friends for our Pungo Promenande Fun Run on 30 October 2021!
Our guests of honor are Dewy and Darlene Elliott. You may recall that earlier this year they were announced as Grand Prize Winners of the PCA Member Only Raffle. This is our chance to help them continue the celebration.
We'll gather at Strawbridge Marketplace in Virginia Beach (2129 General Both Blvd) at 8:15AM for check-in. After our drivers/navigators meeting, we'll push off around 9:30. We'll travel through Pungo, Back Bay and other environs as we crisscross the area taking in some of the best farmland in the area. Approximately 75 minutes into the journey we'll take a 30 minute bio stop and relax a bit while enjoying each other's company waterside before we resume. Be sure to bring your camera! Bonus points for Halloween themed cars, costumes and spirit.
The second part of our journey will take us on some some wider roads as we make a loop back towards our final destination, New Realm Brewing. Our tour will officially end upon arrival at New Realm where those interested can enjoy the Halloween Market, lunch and adult beverages. If chilly, sit by one of the many fire pits. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby if you prefer. Our total distance traveled will be approximately 85 miles. As with all fun runs, we will obey all traffic laws. Drones are not permitted at any PCA event.
Attendance is limited to 70 people, so please be respectful of others and do not register unless you can attend. If a cancellation is necessary, please do so via MSReg before October 22, so that the spot you vacate may be assigned to other members.
If you wish to volunteer as a group lead or sweep, please contact our tour leader Erik Apotheker at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you on 30 October!
