FSR Habitat for Heroes Home Build - 2 Feb 19

Thanks to the generosity of our members and sponsors, we've raised the funds required to sponsor the build of a Habitat for Heroes home!

You don't need any particular experience or tools to volunteer, but you do have to be at least 18 years old.  Non-working participants must be at least 16 years old (i.e. running the check-in table, etc.). 

Please plan on being on site (527 Marcus Street in Chesapeake) most of the day, shifts are 8:15AM - 3PM.  We'll be provided water, snacks, lunch and plenty of direction on how to complete various tasks by Habitat's trained professionals.  Please wear closed toed shoes and dress comfortably in your favorite work clothes (that may get dirty).  Please also leave dangling jewelry at home and long hair must be tied back.

To choose your FSR group date and pick your volunteer t-shirt size, just hit the continue button below.  You'll receive an email the week of your volunteer Saturday indicating what type of work they'll be doing that day and any other pertinent info along with a code to actually sign yourself up for that day on the Habitat GivEffect site.  BEFORE YOU CAN DO THIS, you need to set up an account on the GivEffect website.  In fact, you'll need an account even if you just plan to walk onto the property and observe.  If you have yet to do that, please do it now so that you're ready when we send you the link and password.  Refer to the FSR email titled "FSR Habitat for Heroes Home Build - How to Volunteer", sent on 27 October for instructions.  You can get to the GivEffect website via this LINK.
