About this event
And so it begins.
This is the first event of the 2019-20 FAST Championship! I don't need to tell you that it's going to sell out. But, it will. Register early!
This will be a Split Event. There will be an early session and a late session, each run independently. All drivers will run on the same course, and the two "separate events" will be combined for final scoring. Carefully select your option on the registration form to be sure you are signing up for the correct session.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES:
|
DIRECTIONS TO SITE: Turn East off of SR-33/Lakeland Hills Blvd at the traffic light at Bella Vista St, then left onto Gilmore Ave.
IMPORTANT:
- While the parking lot here is not a secure facility, we still require all drivers to be pre-registered.
- Guests aren't required to pre-register unless they wish to partake of our refreshments.
- We must maintain perimeter control of the site, so all Guests must sign-in to enter.
- We're likely to pick up some extra entries from the Orlando area and points further East, so this event will likely sell out. Don't wait until the last minute (or hour, or day) to register!
- Look at the SCHEDULE below for Check-in times. Don't be late!
- If you arrive early for the Late Session, park in Guest parking while you wait. Parking is limited.
- Note that "Lunch" is not on the schedule. Only those who are double-registered (both sessions as either a driver or a guest) will be served lunch.
- CLICK "CONTINUE" BELOW AND READ THE SECOND PAGE OF EVENT INFO!
ENTRY REQUIREMENT: The only entry requirement is that you have a valid driver's license and a safe car. First-timers and novices are welcome!
Driver Registration - $40.00
Guest Registration - $9.00
NOTE: Registration for every event will officially close at 11:59pm on the Wednesday prior to the event. After that, if registration is not full, it may be re-opened until 8pm Thursday. Driver entries accepted after Wednesday will be subject to a $20 Procrastination Fee! Don't want to pay extra? Don't procrastinate! Of course, the biggest procrastination penalty of all is simply not being able to get into a sold out event... so, register early!

Site-Specific Info
- Enter from the South via Bella Vista St and Gilmore Ave, NOT from the main entrance on Al Kaline Dr.
- Refreshments are provided only for REGISTERED Drivers and Guests.
- Unregistered guests are permitted, but must sign in and must meet the requirements below.
- Underage guests may watch from the field on the West side of the course, but must remain 25 feet BEHIND the tree line for safety. They cannot be allowed in the course, grid or parking areas.
- We cannot add drivers after online registration is closed.
Driver, Guest and Passenger Requirements
- No children (under 16) and no pets allowed on site. Sorry, our events are inherently dangerous and are not insured as "spectator events".
- Drivers under age 18 must be fully licensed (no permits) and have a parent or guardian to sign the insurance waiver allowing them to participate.
- All participants must show their valid driver's license and sign an insurance liability waiver at check-in. No exceptions! This waiver effectively says that you are responsible for damage to your own vehicle, property and person. Autocross is among the safest motorsports you'll find, and FAST does everything possible to ensure a safe event. You compete/attend/participate at your own risk. But, you really should read that waiver and fully understand it before you sign it!
- Passengers must meet the same license requirements as drivers and are only permitted in a car if the driver or passenger qualifies as an instructor.
- Drivers and passengers must wear a DOT approved helmet. We have loaner helmets available at no charge.
- Shorts and T-shirt or other comfortable attire suitable for the weather are appropriate.
- Closed toed shoes are required!
Safety, Vehicle Requirements & Classing
- Safety is the most important aspect of what we do. Please take a moment to read our Safety Rules.
- Each competition vehicle must pass a safety inspection. You can pre-check your car against our Safety Inspection Checklist.
- To classify your car and familiarize yourself with the FAST preparation rules, begin with our Classing Overview page.
Work Assignments
- Each registered driver must work at least one session. (volunteers are welcome throughout the day!)
- Special work assignments are first-come, first served and based on experience and our needs. Your requested assignment is not guaranteed. Most entrants will be required to work course.
- If you have physical limitations, be sure to request a work assignment that is within your abilities AND state your limitations in your profile.
- NOTE: Certain information that does not often change is stored in your user account profile so that you don't have to enter it each time you register. This includes work assignment preferences and disability info. You can view or edit that information at any time by going to My Account > Edit My Information > Edit Clubs > Edit (on the FAST organization).
