WEATHER ALERT If you didn't hear, there's a hurricane headed toward us! We were all set to autocross Saturday. And, honestly, the weather will NOT be such that we couldn't do so on Saturday. The problem is that most of South Florida is in evacuation mode, and the rest of Florida is in "freak out" mode. As a result, we expect the traffic heading North from the Tampa area on Saturday to be horrendous. And getting fuel before or after the event would be a major hassle. So, reluctantly, we've had to accept that it is best to not hold an autocross this weekend. |
We had so much fun at our first Dunnellon event, we've decided to try it again! This time, we're opening registration to all comers, similar to a "FAST Open" event. Only this event won't be a part of our competition series, it's just for fun. So, it's sort of like a "FAST Classic" event, only without the experience requirement, and with a higher entry limit. Confused? Don't worry about it. Just get registered and come have some fun!
Note that because many of us are coming from the Tampa area, we've shifted our schedule by an hour. Plan on being there at 9am! If you're late, nobody will be at the gate to let you in!
DIRECTIONS TO SITE: Turn North off of CR-484 onto SW 147th Ct. take it all the way back (1 mile) and follow it around the curves to the left. Gather and wait at the stop sign. We must enter as a group, so be on-time and be patient.
If you're new to autocross, you've come to the right place! We take great care of our novices and first-timers. We have instructors available, and we'll make sure that you have a good time. Your entry fee includes the World Famous FAST Lunch, and we'll be done by 3-4pm! These events are not included for points in the FAST Season Championship.

Pre-Registration
- Pre-Registration with payment is required for all drivers. No walk-ups!
- Entry fee includes cold beverages and driver's lunch.
- Guests must register separately for this event, which also includes lunch.
- Please familiarize yourself with our Refund and Cancel Policy. There are no refunds and event credit is only given in certain circumstances. It is best to only register if you are reasonably certain that you can attend.
Site-Specific Info
- We only man the gate during the specified time for check-in, and we must enter as a group, so plan on being there on time! If you are late, you will not get in!
- We must limit guests to 25 total, so only one guest per driver, and once we reach 25, we can accept no more.
- IMPORTANT: Guests at our Dunnellon events must REGISTER SEPARATELY.
- We cannot add drivers or guests after online registration is closed.
- If a name is not on the entry list as either a driver or a guest, we cannot let them in the gate!
Driver, Guest and Passenger Requirements
- No children (under 16) and no pets allowed on site. Sorry, our events are inherently dangerous and are not insured as "spectator events".
- Drivers under age 18 must be fully licensed (no permits) and have a parent or guardian to sign the insurance waiver allowing them to participate.
- All participants must show their valid driver's license and sign an insurance liability waiver at check-in. No exceptions! This waiver effectively says that you are responsible for damage to your own vehicle, property and person. Autocross is among the safest motorsports you'll find, and FAST does everything possible to ensure a safe event. You compete/attend/participate at your own risk. But, you really should read that waiver and fully understand it before you sign it!
- Passengers must meet the same license requirements as drivers and are only permitted in a car if the driver or passenger qualifies as an instructor.
- Drivers and passengers must wear a DOT approved helmet. We have loaner helmets available at no charge.
- Shorts and T-shirt or other comfortable attire suitable for the weather are appropriate.
- Closed toed shoes are required!

- Each competition vehicle must pass a safety inspection. You can pre-check your car against our Safety Inspection Checklist.

Work Assignments
- Each registered driver must work at least one session. (volunteers are welcome throughout the day!)
- Special work assignments are first-come, first served and based on experience and our needs. Your requested assignment is not guaranteed. Most entrants will be required to work course.
- If you have physical limitations, be sure to request a work assignment that is within your abilities AND state your limitations in your profile.
- NOTE: Certain information that does not often change is stored in your user account profile so that you don't have to enter it each time you register. This includes work assignment preferences and disability info. You can view or edit that information at any time by going to My Account > Edit My Information > Edit Clubs > Edit (on the FAST organization).
