It's time for that annual FAST Autocross School! We're doing it a little differently this time, using a format that's not unlike what we've done at some of our Classic events where we included a "practice element". It's going to be a little more casual than past schools, and NOT a true "novice school". We're not inviting first-time autocrossers. The target here is people who have been autocrossing with FAST for a little while. We want to take those people who are already "hooked", and help them learn to be faster! And "instructors" instead of just being there as instructors, will also be doing the practice exercises WITH the students, which allows them to do some additional "demonstration" in their own cars, as well as a little "test and tune" in their own cars to sharpen their own skills. Oh, and we'll be doing timed baseline and end-of-day runs on a full course. Should be a win-win for everybody!
The practice elements and the course itself will be very similar to what we've done at recent schools. Just the format of the event will be different.
- Y'all know the drill. Same participation rules as every other Brooksville FAST event.
- We'll start by inviting newish, but active members to be "student participants".
- We'll also be inviting qualified "instructor participants".
- We're planning on a maximum of 32 students and 16 instructors. Split into 4 run groups. That's 4 instructors for each group of 8 students.
- Plan on the whole day -- the event will run from approximately 7:00am - 5:00pm.
- It will be a busy day for all, but it will be a lot of fun, and you WILL learn some things!
Uh, What's The Deal?
- All participants will get two preliminary timed runs, and 4 timed runs at the end of the day.
- All participants will work course some.
- All will rotate through three practice exercises.
- All will partake of the World Famous FAST Lunch, along with water and sodas.
- Unlike our past schools, we don't have "volunteers" paid or otherwise. Everyone is a participant, this helps us keep the cost down for the "students", and "instructors" are getting a deeply discounted rate for their own seat time and lunch in exchange for focusing much of their time on teaching.

Pre-Registration
- Pre-Registration with payment is required for all students. No walk-ups!
- Entry fee includes cold beverages and driver's lunch.
- Please familiarize yourself with our Refund and Cancel Policy. There are no refunds and event credit is only given in certain circumstances. It is best to only register if you are reasonably certain that you can attend.
Site-Specific Info
- We only man the gate during the specified time for check-in, so plan on being there on time! If you are late, you might not get in!
- We cannot add students after online registration is closed.
- If a name is not on the entry list, we cannot let them in the gate!
Driver, Guest and Passenger Requirements
- No children (under 16) and no pets allowed on site. Sorry, our events are inherently dangerous and are not insured as "spectator events".
- Drivers under age 18 must be fully licensed (no permits) and have a parent or guardian to sign the insurance waiver allowing them to participate.
- All participants must show their valid driver's license and sign an insurance liability waiver at check-in. No exceptions! This waiver effectively says that you are responsible for damage to your own vehicle, property and person. Autocross is among the safest motorsports you'll find, and FAST does everything possible to ensure a safe event. You compete/attend/participate at your own risk. But, you really should read that waiver and fully understand it before you sign it!
- Passengers must meet the same license requirements as drivers and are only permitted in a car if the driver or passenger qualifies as an instructor.
- Drivers and passengers must wear a DOT approved helmet. We have loaner helmets available at no charge.
- Shorts and T-shirt or other comfortable attire suitable for the weather are appropriate.
- Closed toed shoes are required!

Work Assignments
- Unlike the typical autocross, students are not required to work the course at this event.
