Event requirements

IMPORTANT INFO ON POLICIES AND PROCEDURES DUE TO THE  SARS-CoV-2 PANDEMIC:

UPDATE August 7, 2021:  Items 1-4 immediately below are excerpted from the latest "COVID DRIVING EVENTS POLICY" from National.  In accordance with this policy, we will now allow passengers and in-car instruction, but will still not require instructors for inexperienced participants.  Note that we are not modifying our forms/registration for the opt-in/opt-out mentioned in 4b.

Both BMW CCA National and Atlanta Motor Speedway still require a COVID waiver.  To speed up sign-in on site, please print and complete at home and pass the completed form along to us during sign-in:  BMW_CCA_covidwaiver_2020-07-22.pdf

1) Chapters MUST comply with, and adhere to, ALL Federal, State and County mandates, as well as conform to any/all specific local & facility requirements in force at the time of the event.

2) Chapters are allowed to return to normal in-car instruction, as well as other dual-occupant driving events, provided they can do so with reasonable public health safety measures and within theapplicable conditions set forth by the entities listed in item #1.

3) Chapters whenever possible should devise and deploy policies and procedures that accommodate all attendees (participants and guests) regardless of vaccination status.

4) On the Chapter’s event and registration pages, the format for the event should be clearly described and include the following:

4a. If the event is to be a dual-occupant driving event, the Chapter shall make clear to all registrants the manner in which the dual occupancy will be managed.
4b. The Chapter shall make it very clear that dual occupancy is optional, and a registrant is free to decline having another person in their car. This choice shall be in the form of “Opt-In”or “Opt-Out” and be documented in the registration form.
4c. Chapters may choose to prioritize registrants based ontheir choice of Opt-In/Opt-Out. If there are options available for Opt-Out participants, those participants should be permitted to choose among such options prior to their registration being confirmed.

NOW, ON TO THE EVENT REGISTRATION INFO!

Peachtree Chapter BMW CCA autocross events are open to members at the MEMBER EVENT PRICE of $50 (MEMBER EARLY-BIRD EVENT PRICE of $40).

Peachtree Chapter BMW CCA autocross events are open to non-members at the NON-MEMBER EVENT PACKAGE PRICE of $85 (NON-MEMBER EARLY-BIRD EVENT PRICE of $75), which includes a 1-year membership (normally $58) and a single autocross (normally $50) for only $85 ($75 Early-Bird) -- a discount of $23 ($33 if you're an Early-Bird)!  Once you become a BMW CCA member via this package, you will be able to register for future autocrosses during your membership at member event prices.  IMPORTANT:  This non-member package price is for new members, not yearly renewals -- if your membership has expired within the last two years, you must renew via National (link).  Again, this non-member package is not for yearly renewals (we check this, folks!).

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Early-Bird event registrations are only offered during the first week after registration opens and are only refundable in the case of event cancellation!

Vehicle Class:

You must determine your vehicle's class BEFORE registering.  The classification worksheet is linked below.  If you have gone through the classification worksheet and need clarification on your vehicle's classification, please contact the registrar before event registration closes.  You must classify your vehicle correctly to receive any points towards series standings.

Participant Number:

You must choose your participant number according to the documents below and set it DURING registration for the event.  Please pay heed to the legibility guidelines explained in the "AX Number Assignments and Marking" document.

Number Assignments and Marking Requirements:  AX_Number_Assignments_and_Marking_2018-03-04.docx

Please purchase or fabricate your markings before coming to the event, or bring your own marking materials to the event.  Although we have a small supply of marking materials on hand, marking materials are not included with the event fee and the marking materials on hand are for "emergency" use and should not be relied on as your regular marking materials for your vehicle.

List of active/open/reserved numbers:  AX_Master_Number_List_2021-03-06.xls  Note that this is not a "live" list -- it is updated at the beginning of each event.  Another participant might have claimed a particular number before you get to it, so any numbers being available in this list are not guaranteed to be available.

Additional Important Information:

Please review the documents and policies below before registering, as you will be held to the policies once registered.

Sign-in starts at 9:00 AM. Tech 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Driver's meeting at 10:30 AM.  First run group starts right after the driver's meeting.  As per the policies stated in the documents above, late arrivals will neither be allowed to participate, nor will they receive a refund or any credit for the event.  Please note that these events usually run until approximately 3:00 PM -- plan your attendance and the remainder of your day accordingly.

Once sign-in is open, find the registrar, sign the waivers, and receive a wristband. This is required for all people on site, including spectators.  If a participant or spectator is a minor, a minor waiver must be completed:  minorwaiver2016.pdf (this must be printed in color, preferably double-sided).

Any vehicle parking in the EV Participant Parking area must pay $5 (cash on site) for charging, whether the vehicle is an EV or actually charges from site electricity or not.  If you do not wish to incur this charge, do not park in this area.

Helmets are available to rent for $10.  HELMETS MUST BE SNELL 2010, 2015, OR 2020 RATED.  IMPORTANT:  Inadvertent allowance of a non-conforming helmet in a prior event is not justification to allow it after the non-conformance is discovered.
