About this event
Driving down I-55 towards Memphis, it’s hard to miss all the billboards encouraging you to stop by Lambert’s Cafe in Sikeston, MO ... the renowned home of the ‘Throwed Rolls’.
Lambert’s is known all across the country for it’s hearty, country foods with all the rolls you can eat. Need a roll? Raise you hand, and be ready to catch it because it’s going to come flying towards your hand. Lambert’s Cafe is truly the home of rolls delivered by an accurate toss across the room to your hand. People from all over the country stop in Sikeston for a great meal and to perfect their ‘roll catching’ ability.
Bob Paster has put together a tour that will take us down to "Throwed Roll” country on Saturday, June 15. We will be gathering at the Quick Trip at 4450 Meramec Bottom Road and Interstate 55 at 9:15 am. After a brief driver’s meeting, the Porsche caravan will hit the road at about 9:30 for a three hour tour over the winding roads of south- eastern Missouri. After lunch at Lambert’s, everyone will be on their own on the 2 hour run back north.
Please RSVP by June 13th so that Bob knows to expect you for the tour. Lambert’s is a truly unique dining experience. Don’t miss this chance to experience a truly tasty Missouri landmark.
