Come and join us as the 2018 Cape Fear Autocross Championship Series Kicks off at MCAS Cherry Point! MCAS Cherry Point is the premier event site in North Carolina and the Drivers Seat Novice School at Cherry Point will be the 1st Novice School for the 2018 season.
This event will be held on Saturday March 3rd.
On-line pre-registration will close on Sunday, February 25th at Midnight. Register early to guarantee your spot!!!

Event requirements
To guarantee your spot, register early!! This event will be limited so please get pre-registered!
We will give you a ton of information on how to be a good autocrosser. Students will learn about the event, the format, how to work the different worker stations at an event, teching of cars, numbering of cars, course walking, reading the course, just about everything you need to know to be a good autocrosser. On top of that you will get a LOT of seat time with an instructor to help you. We do require you have an instructor in the morning session but if you wish to go it alone in the afternoon we will let you. Students will be anywhere between 3 to 4 autocrosses worth of seat time in this one event. Everyone driving is a novice and we do it that way to keep it a low stress, fun, educational environment.
Directions: Must enter through the Main Gate. The Guards will likely give you a placard for the Autox. On the back of that is a map to the event site. Just in case, once on base continue on the main road until you pass the flightline (hard to miss no trees speed limit picks up and there is a sign). Just past flightline there is a stop light, turn right and it is your last right just after Duffy Road and before the T intersection that end of the road. There is usually a sign at the stoplight and just before the turn in to the flight line that say AUTO-X and an arrow.
Drivers must be 16 years of age and hold a valid drivers license. Drivers under 18 years of age must fill out a minor waiver. All vehicles must pass a technical inspection and helmets must be SNELL 2000 or newer. Loaner helmets are available.

- All participants must sign an SCCA Release and Waiver form onsite. Minors (under age 18) must have a Minor Waiver printed in color and signed by BOTH parents. Look for the form labeled "SCCA Minor Notary".
