Drivers Club Prospect Day - Wed 04/29/2020

Have you been thinking about joining The Drivers Club?  If so, NOW is your opportunity see the facility and spend a day on the Dominion Raceway Road Course!

NOTE:  THIS EVENT IS ONLY OPEN TO PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN INVITED TO ATTEND

Since the COVID19 pandemic is limiting attendence at our Member Driving Days to just 10, and typically, all of those spots are taken by existing members, we will add some days to our calendar, specifcally for those that would just like to "try-out" the Club, as long as there are at least 6 people committed to attending.  Below are some of the details:

1. The price to attend these days is $250 per person, and payment is made at time of registration.
2. The event will not be held unless there are at least 6 people committed to attending.
3. If less than 6 people are registered as of 3-days before the event, the event will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded or applied to a future event (that attendee may select which option)
4. Once 6 people have registered and paid, the event will be confirmed, and the registration fee is non-refundable, but can be applied towards a future event if an attendee cancels by noon 3-days before the event.
5. If you have no previous performance driving experience, although we are not able to do driver-coaching ride-alongs at this time, you will receive a classroom Member Day orientation, an on-track track orientation (i.e. lead-follow excercises), and a second classroom session about performance driving basics.
6. If you have an acceptable amount of documented previous performance driving experience (as determined by The Drivers Club), you can waive the on-track orientation and second classroom session, however you will still need to attend the Member Day orientation (** The Member Day orientation requirement is waived, if you have previously attended a Member Driving Day).
7. Due to COVID19, the food services operation at the track is closed-down, so you will need to bring your own food and beverages.
8. There will be special COVID19 procedures and practices in place, and by registering for this event, you agree to adhere to them (details will be provided once you register, but they are fairly standard "safe-distancing" and personaly hygiene practices).

The Drivers Club at Dominion Raceway is a social club for motoring enthusiasts who want to go fast on track without the hectic schedule of a typical track day. Members have exclusive access to 40+ member-only track days a year on an exciting and challenging 2-mile road course.

Located in Thornburg, VA, we are within an hour’s drive of both Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. No longer do you have to spend half the day driving to and from the track. In fact, members can easily enjoy a half day on the track and still make it home for dinner.

The Drivers Club also offers members the opportunity to connect with people who have an appreciation of high-performance vehicles and high-performance driving. With both driving events and social activities, The Drivers Club at Dominion Raceway is the place where you can do it all!

WEATHER POLICY: 

COLD WEATHER:  If by noon the day before the Member Driving Day, the forecast calls for less than 3-hours above 45 degrees (not including the lunch break hour), the Member Driving Day will be canceled.  The majority of members have stated that they are not interested in driving on the track in temperatures below these.

WET WEATHER:  If by noon the day before the Member Driving Day, the forecast calls for an "all-day" rain, OR severe storms in both the morning and afternoon, the Member Driving Day will most likely be canceled. Typically, a forecast for 'scattered showers" or "a thunderstorm or shower" will NOT cause a cancellation.
