Drag Racing in the Hudson Valley!
Come join us for a fun day at the drag races! All cars and drivers are welcome, even minivans and SUV’s! This is a Social event, so no pressure to drive, but attendees are welcome to sign up with the track directly if you want to race. Don't want to drive? Spectate and meet your fellow club members!
This is the real drag racing deal on an official NHRA dragway. We’ll be launched by Christmas tree lights and get a time slip for each run giving your splits and 1/4mi time and speed.
Drivers in cars quicker than 14 sec will need to wear a helmet, full face if 10 sec or faster.
Following a full day of racing at the track, we’ll retire to a local restaurant for dinner.
Sunday morning we are invited to a trap shooting event in Kinderhook with the Old Chatham Hunt Club. No experience or equipment is required. Novices are welcome and will receive personalized instruction.
Sunday afternoon/evening we are invited to roam the local countryside as a guest at a Hunt Club beagling event, followed by a tea (supper) at local home.

The cost of the drag racing is $35 per car & driver, $10 for crew/spectators, payable directly to the dragway at the event.
The track grill will be open during the event for lunch. Please bring cash, or a bag lunch of your own.
Trap shooting costs $20 pp for all materials including ear protection, paid to the Hunt Club at the event
The Hunt Club event and tea are $10 pp, paid at the event
Weekend overview:
Saturday
8 am Gates open for tech inspection
9 am Track opens
12 pm Tech closes, lunch at track grill
4 pm Track closes
6:30 pm Dinner at area restaurant, price excluding alcohol to be divided amongst attendees.

Event requirements
*ACHTUNG: For liability reasons, the NEQ is presenting this as a social event only. Anyone interesting in driving on the drag strip is welcome to do so by contracting with the track directly.
Basic drag racing rules/requirements
Drivers will complete a basic self-tech inspection upon entering the track. If your car is road-worthy it is most likely track ready. No brake fluid changes are required.
Drivers and any passengers will sign a standard track day liability waiver form at the same time.
Standard track day attire rules apply: shirt, shoes, socks, long pants. Short sleeves are ok.
Drivers of cars faster than 14 sec elapsed time (E.T.) need to wear a current SNELL or SFI helmet. If your car is faster than 10 sec E.T. you need to wear a full-face helmet
Note: Road & Track sows a Corvette Z06 at 11.1 sec E.T.
Drivers of cars slower than 14 sec E.T. may have a passenger and do not require a helmet per NHRA rules. If you want to have a passenger or drive a slower car without a helmet, please let the organizer know so he can confirm with the track.
