SCCA TIME TRIALS PROGRAM:
The program is designed so you can obtain your novice race license from start to finish all the while in the program building your driving skills along with learning what you need to go racing and help to build your car correctly to fit in the class you want to race in. You can do this at your own pace, by both what’s affordable to you and time available. All this happens while having fun driving on the track during the Time Trials lapping days. There are plenty of levels here to play in. Many participants find a level they like and just stay there, others go all the way. It’s all up to you.

PDX1:  If you’ve never been on the track then you’ll need to start in the PDX (Performance Development Experience) Clinic first.
This is the foundation clinic that gets everything started and headed in the right direction. You spend the day both in the classroom and on track learning the basics. and establishing those first foundation skills correctly. These first skills are important in understanding the long term development of your driving skills

PDX 2 & 3 is the next level to advance too. These are skills building levels 2 & 3. After PDX1 you are signed off to solo by yourself on the track, advanced instruction is free and available as needed and the development fun begins here. Limitations to lapping and passing zones keep you and your car safe while developing your skills. Timed competition is not allowed.

The Club Trials (CT) Once you’ve advanced through these first three levels if you choose to do so, the Club Trials level is the next step up.
Whether you are looking for competition or you are just the best of the best this is the advanced level you’ll drive in. This level introduces competition to the game with timed lapping and car classification. At each level we build on developing your skills towards the ultimate goal of obtaining that race license and in CT 4 we really step up the learning curve. The lapping limitations enforced in the first three levels are relaxed so you can begin to experience and learn the driving skills needed to advance to the final level, TT (Track Trials)

Track Trials (TT)  Track Trials is the final step to obtaining your novice race license. Track Trials is the ultimate level of timed competition. This is full on driver and car preparation similar to Club Racing.
You will be required to apply for a National Novice Track Trials Competition license. Lapping limitations are lifted so to experience and meet race licensing instruction requirements. Though not wheel to wheel
racing some of the best drivers on a race track are Track Trials drivers. This level really digs deep into the learned skills to drive at this level and get the most out of the car and driver for the best time achieved. Once you’ve fulfilled
the requirements for the Novice Race license your off and running into full up Club Racing and your ultimate goal is achieved

See the supplemental regulations for classing your car in CT and TT
