The DahloneGALLOP Rally: A 2021 MBCA Peachtree TSD Championship Event

The DahlonegGALLOP rally is a straight-forward, brisk “tour” style Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) competition with no complex instructions, traps or other unfunny stuff. All significant turns will be clearly identified with mileages provided. The goal for all beginners and experts will be to keep “on time” through 100 miles of predominantly secondary roads in Lumpkin and White Counties. The event will be conducted entirely on paved roads.
MBCA membership is not required to participate. You are not required to drive a Mercedes-Benz, though it is encouraged.
This rally is one of four rallies which will constitute the 2021 MBCA Peachtree TSD Championship series. MBCA members will earn championship points based on their overall finish in this event.
This event will use the Richta GPS Checkpoints app to record arrival times at checkpoints. A smart phone or tablet (Android or iOS) with GPS is required during the running of this rally. Details about obtaining, installing and using this app is available at the Rally Resources webpage on the MBCA Peachtree website. This event will also use the Speedwaiver process, which also requires a smartphone with internet access.
To maintain safety in this time of pandemic, the event will be conducted “contact free”. General Instructions and Route Instructions will be provided by e-mail prior to the event and participants will be expected to print out their own copies. Waivers will be signed electronically as part of the registration process. There will be a mid-rally break at Freedom Park in Cleveland GA, where participants can take a socially-distant break from the event. Participants can bring their own refreshments, or snacks and restrooms will be available at local restaurants and gas stations. Scoring will be completed after the event, and organizers will be available to answer questions about how scores were computed by e-mail or at a Zoom meeting prior to scores being finalized.

Late Entry/At rally: $35/car
*$10 discount for registrants of the MBCA Peachtree TSD Rally School scheduled for Jan. 15

- 1:01PM – Car #1 starts rally
- 4:30PM (approximate) Car #1 finishes rally
- 8:00PM – Deadline for e-mailed scoring inquiries (send to rally@mbcapeachtree.com)
- 8:00PM – Zoom session for questions and scoring inquiries (details sent to entrants by e-mail)
- 10:00PM - Final scores and standings released
Event requirements
The Terms of Participation for MBCA events are attached below. Please read them. By registering for this event, you are accepting the Terms of Participation.
Per the Terms of Participation, the vehicle being used in the event shall be insured with atleast $100,000.00 per person bodily injury and property damage insurance that will be in effect for the entire duration of the events
Membership in MBCA is NOT required to participate in the rally, but is required to score points in the Peachtree Section Championship
A Mercedes-Benz vehicle is NOT required to participate in the rally
