Everyone, please circle your calendar for the next tour with Columbia Porsche Group on Sunday, June 6.
We have reservations for the large picnic shelter at beautiful Graham Cave State Park, just off I-70 between
St. Louis and Columbia, Mo. Once used for shelter this unusual sandstone cave is nestled in the hills above the Loutre River in
Montgomery County. While there is no access into the cave itself, you’ll see what makes the location key in its importance
to people over the past 10,000 years. What University of Missouri archaeologists have discovered as they uncovered artifacts rewrote
history regarding Native American’s presence in mid-Missouri. Interpretive signs point out interesting discoveries to visitor’s at the cave’s mouth.
Several trails wind throughout the park’s woodlands and glades. Feel free to explore at will after lunch.
The tour will be a chance to sit under shelter in a wonderful park setting and visit with
your Porsche friends. We haven’t been to Graham Cave for a few years, so its time to
enjoy being out in Nature and take a stroll over to the landmark cave.
The route will take us on two lane blacktops through several mid-Missouri counties,
with several stretches of elevation changes and curves just right for our Porsches. There
will be no gravel stretches, even in the park itself.
Please pack a picnic lunch for yourself and passengers. There are also fast food options
just 5 miles east on I-70 at MO Hwy 19. Picnic tables under the large shelter will
provide room to spread out and eat, visit and relax. You will find there is a toilet nearby,
and TP and sanitizing wipes will be set out for your use since there is no running water.
Drivers and their partners will meet at the Columbia, MO Home Depot parking lot
on the southeast corner. The driver’s meeting will start at 10:20, and the tour leaves at
10:30 a.m.
Robby Robinson will be tour captain this trip and asks that you bring your
PCA Communicable Disease Waiver printed in color with you and the standard
PCA tour waivers, both signed by drivers and passengers:

Event requirements
All must register in advance, follow all local social distancing guidelines, and sign the PCA COVID waiver.
