CRA Team Championship

We are excited to announce that the CRA Team Championship is back again for the 2021 race season.

Team Requirements

•         2 - 3 riders per team (no substitute riders)

•         Team roster must be submitted to the Racer Liaison via email (racerliaison@cra-mn.com) prior to event

•         Any changes to a team or team member must be submitted BEFORE SATURDAY of a race weekend in order to score points for that weekend.  ie. the team roster must be established before the weekend they wish to score points in.

•         A rider may be added to a team at any point during the season as long as they have not been part of another team. Riders can only score points for the team after they have joined.

Cost, Payout, & Registration

• Cost per team member is $20+tax with 100% of the cost being used for the purse.
• Payout Schedule
  •  1st  Place  - 50%
  •  2nd Place - 30%
  •  3rd  Place - 20%
• Register for the CRA Team Championship on MotorsportReg.com. 
• Registration opens at 8am on April 17th and will remain open until the end of the CRA race season. 

Scoring

• Each rider earns points towards the team total according to the points schedule listed below.

• Only one team member can score points per weight class per weekend.  See Single Weekend Example 2
• Each weekend the class in which a team member scores points can change. See Multi Weekend Example 1

Classes included in Team Championship

• • • UL, FW, LW, WW, MW, HW, UNL, SUPER TWINS, SPORTSMAN, 90’s Cup
    • TROPHY DASH’s GP0, GP1, GP2, GP3, GP4
    • ENDURANCE/TEAM CHALLENGE GP0, GP1, GP2, GP3, GP4

• Except for endurance/team challenge. Endurance/team challenge points are counted double BUT all the team members must be on the same team for the points to count towards “Team Championship” points
• The score sheet is to be sent in via email to the racer liaison Racerliaison@cra-mn.com within 7 days of the conclusion of the event.

Examples of Team Championship Results/Points

Single Weekend Example 1

• • Team members each run a single class
  • Bob races LW, Bill races MW, and Terry races UNL.
    • Bob gets 1st, 5th, and 4th in LW = 20+11+13= 44 points
    • Bill 3rd, 3rd, and 10th in MW = 15+15+6= 36 points
    • Terry 5th, 5th, 6th in UNL = 11+11+10= 32 points
    • Team total 112 points

Single Weekend Example 2

• • Team members each run multiple classes
  • Bob races MW and HW, Bill races MW and HW, terry races unlimited
    • Bob scores 3rd, 4th, and 5th, in MW = 15+13+11= 39 points
    • Bob scores 5th, 5th, 6th, in HW = 11+11+10= 32 points
    • Bill scores 4th, 3rd, 4th, MW = 13+15+13= 41 points
    • Bill scores 4th, 4th, 4th, HW, = 13+13+13= 39 points
    • Terry score 3rd, 10th, DNF, in UNL= 15+6+0= 21 points
    • Bob scores 39 points in MW, Bill scores 39 points in HW, and Terry Scores 21 in UNL
    • Team total 99 points

Multi Weekend Example 1

• • Bob races MW during event #1 and HW during event #2, Bill races MW during event #1 and HW during event #2, terry races unlimited during event #2
    • Bob scores 3rd, 4th, and 5th, in MW = 15+13+11= 39 points
    • Bob scores 5th, 5th, 6th, in HW = 11+11+10= 32 points
    • Bill scores 4th, 3rd, 4th, MW = 13+15+13= 41 points
    • Bill scores 4th, 4th, 4th, HW, = 13+13+13= 39 points
    • Terry score 3rd, 10th, DNF, in UNL= 15+6+0= 21 points
    • Team total for both events 172 points
