Join us for the CCC Track Day. The confirmed date is April 20, 2018.   No change in the price of $275.00 per entrant.

We have already started planning the day; under consideration are celebrity appearances, a talent competition (driving talent that is) and return of the umbrella girls.  Old favorites such as the "hot lap competition", to be defended by Ben Sarli, (possibly in an IMSA car); who will win the coveted "most courteous driver" prize and who will win the 2018 "Sarli", will all be back.

Club participation is welcome and of course we welcome sponsors.  We expect a large crowd so sign up early.  Sign up before Christmas and receive a special edition CCC Track Day polo.  Plus some other free stuff that we will come up with!!

CCC Track Day is a charity event organized by the Colonial Challenge Cup Inc a 501 (c) (3), and provides the opportunity for you to bring your car to Summit Point Raceway in WVA and learn your real capabilities as a driver in a controlled environment under the tutelage of experienced instructors. You may think that you are a good driver; but by the end of the day, you will know the real truth! Without the restrictions of everyday traffic and standard road obstacles like the police, Sunday drivers and mini-vans, you will drive your own car on the Summit Point Track, known as the “Big Track” for four twenty minute sessions with other drivers of similar experience. You will learn new driving techniques, revitalize the skills that you have forgotten and enjoy a safe, fun day with fellow enthusiasts.

The beneficiary of the event is the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Scholarship Trust (Annapolis Trust) www.annapolistrust.org which is a charity that provides financial support to first generation low-income students connect with opportunities to learn to their fullest potential, complete a post-high school education and become engaged members of the community. Since the Annapolis Trust was created in 2000, over seventy students have been provided with scholarships to attend university, technical schools and community colleges.  The Annapolis Trust students have achieved a 70% graduation rate with many entering the professions, the US military and business. By investing in our youth’s education, we can cultivate leaders for generations to come.

This year we were fortunate to have the generous support of Robin Sparrow and Thomas Lappin who as entrants in the Tire Rack One Lap of America nominated the Annapolis Trust as the charity that was the recipient of all sponsorship monies that they received from corporate sponsors whose logos were placed on their BMW M3. This event has been held since 1984 and 2017 saw over fifty entrants driving up to 3,000 miles over seven days holding time trials at specified race track venues.

Sponsorship inquiries should be addressed to Brian Allen at ballen@fox-architects.com
