Understanding Motor Oil and Automotive Lubricants

Lubricants are the lifeblood of your vehicle, and they are often the most misunderstood part of the vehicle.

Do you know the technical difference between a 5W-40 and a 15W-40? If you think it has to do with the "weight" of the oil, you would be incorrect. This seminar will explain the differences in SAE grades, API and ACEA ratings, Base oil types and additives.

The goal of the class is to provide a fundamental understanding of lubricants and lubrication so that you can select the proper lubricants and change intervals for your application.
