Bobcat Road Rally

Quaker Steak & Lube

About this event

Join your fellow car enthusiasts for the Bobcat Road Rally, an endurance time-speed-distance (TSD) event covering 3 stages and traversing 150 miles of South Central Wisconsin’s best rustic roads. The rally takes its name from the fiery wildcat that inhabits the forests of Wisconsin and the rebadged variant of the Ford Pinto which has undoubtedly started a few of those lush forests on fire attempting mad drifts on the downhills of the Driftless Area while delivering cheese for the local store.

Cars will be dispatched in 1-minute intervals starting at 10:00 AM. The Bobcat Road Rally course, starting in the parking lot next to Quaker Steak and Lube in Middleton, will first head west and end up New Glarus, Wisconsin. You and a co-driver (or solo) will be issued a set of Route Instructions. You'll be tested on your ability to observe, reason, maintain the assigned average speeds, make several consecutive hairpin turns without spilling a cup of water and follow explicit directions. Two checkpoints will be set up along each of the three stages as a way to monitor how well you are following the course. After completing the rally, drivers and co-drivers will meet at the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant to celebrate the day’s competition. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times.

The Bobcat Road Rally is limited to 15 entries.
