About this event
Welcome to the SECOND annual "Biggest Little 5er Fest." Though this event primarily celebrates the BMW 5-series cars from 1972 - 2003, it is an informal gathering of like-minded classic/vintage BMW enthusiasts along the lines of the St. Paddy's Day event in San Diego, the 5er Fest events of the early 2000s and more recently, 5erWest in Gladstone, Oregon. Given the success of last year's event and the effects of the pandemic still lingering in various regions, this is an opportunity to gather, drive our cars and enjoy ourselves safely.
The weekend festivities include a dinner/reception on Friday at the home of a recent Reno area transplant and E28 enthusiast, a show-and-shine style event at Lazy 5 Regional Park in Sparks on Saturday, dinner on Saturday evening (it polled better than Saturday morning dinner in the focus group) and a drive on Sunday. Come for some or all of it. Please register as soon as possible as this greatly aids the planners to host the best event.
T-shirts can be ordered on the order form. A limited number of shirts will available at the event but to guarantee size availability, pre-order is HIGHLY recommended. Shirt color is "medium grey" despite being pictured in white/blanco/blanc and are available in both short and long sleeve configurations.
If you plan to stay overnight it is best to reserve your hotel rooms or AirBNB/VRBO stay early. There are other events occurring during that weekend and vacancies may be tight. This event is open to all BMW enthusiasts with an emphasis on the classics. If you've never been to an event before, there will be plenty of people available to show you the ropes to enjoy the experience. The featured marques are the classic 5 series chassis E12, E28, E34 and E39 models from 1972 through 2003, but you don't have to have a 5-series to register. Not all cars will be show cars so don't be afraid to bring your vehicle. You don’t even have to bring a BMW! We would appreciate it if you completely fill the registration form as this will help the planners put on the best event. If you can only participate in some of the events, that's no problem, we just need to know which ones.
