About this event
Are you a new Porsche owner and want to understand what your new machine is capable of? Have you owned your Porsche for awhile and have wondered what this thing called “Autocross” is? Do you want to become a better driver by understanding how to control your vehicle in emergency situations? Or are you already a dedicated autocrosser but want to improve your skills? What have you done to prepare for the upcoming season? If you haven’t worked on your car, or aren’t already working on your car, maybe you can improve your car control skills, or just knock off some of that winter 'rust' by attending our Autocross Chalk Talk hosted by ATSpeed Motorsports on 12 April 2014. Dan Dazzo, Potomac Region Chief Driving Instructor will hold an AM classroom session going over many of the finer aspects autocrossing: Car control, precision braking and a whole host of other techniques; and an afternoon session where you will be able to apply what you have learned and receive additional ‘live-fire’ mentoring while on the autocross course. $45 dollars gets you both sessions and at least three runs on the course. Here is the schedule of the day's events:
0800 - 0830 Check in
0830 - 1100 Class
1100 - 1130 Tour of ATSpeed facilities , and meet at 12:00 for introductions & lunch at BWI after an introduction to the exercises?
1200 - Meet at Mathison Way autocross site for lunch and start of practical exercises
For new members or first time autocrossers, upon successful completion of the chalk talk, you will receive a discount code for use on MSR.com that will allow for free registration at one 2014 Chesapeake Region Autocross Event.
