Location: Golden Sands Motor Speedway in Wisconsin Rapids, WI
Join us for the first ASMotorsports "Driver's Ed" Autocross-Drift hybrid event.
Entry: $50.00 per driver, limited entries.
Spectators will be allowed for this event.
Schedule:
4:00-4:45p Check-in & Tech Inspection
4:45p Driver's Meeting
5:00p Hot Track
For our first event we will not be doing any tandem drifting, but hope to add this into future events!
Course setup info-
SKIDPAD- a basic figure 8 to do some practice.
MAIN track layout. Mix between autocross with some driving style points added in. I will say you are welcome to drive the course in whatever fashion you'd like. BUT, this is what what we're looking for:
You will set off from the starting line and run through the first few gates like normal. NOODLE WALL- 3 pool noodles will be on display for you to touch in some spectacular fashion. This then sends you into Ring Around Rosie, where you essentially do a single donut around Rosie. Be nice to Rosie, she will DNF you if you touch her. After Rosie, you set off through the remaining gates and past through the finish line.
Scoring- You will be timed. Obviously the faster the better. BUT, you will also be judged. The judges will be looking for some cool noodle action along with how sweet you are to Rosie.
We'll have a formula to calculate your final competition score.
We will have 2 classes/teams for this event. Team DRIFTERS and Team AUTOCROSSERS. Pick your click.
This is all for fun, please don't take this too seriously.
Event requirements
Must have a safe car. No loose suspension components, leaking fluids, or anything else that we feel is unsafe.
Must have valid drivers license.
Must not do stupid stuff.
Must not have an ego. We're here to learn.
