Join your fellow Arizona PCA and Las Vegas PCA club members for a fun filled weekend trip to Las Vegas.
The Porsche Club of America, Arizona Region will be holding its 2016 Vegas Fun Run this year with some exciting events for those that like to drive their Porsches, see an outstanding car collection (Porsches and American and European classics including some awesome Fords “through-the-ages”) and party at a relocated Scottish Bar.
We will meet on April 15 at The Good Egg on Carefree Highway and I-17 at 9 AM. After a drivers briefing at 9:45 AM, we will leave promptly at 10 AM arriving in Las Vegas that afternoon.
The recommended hotel is The M Resort/Spa/Casino Hotel approximately 10 miles south of the Las Vegas strip. Currently rooms are available for $125/night with NO resort fee (TO GET THIS RATE GO TO THE M's WEBSITE, CLICK ON HOTEL PROMOTIONS AND THEN LOOK FOR THE LUCKY 7 ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL). The Las Vegas Region recommended this resort hotel, and while it is off the strip it offers convenient access to all of the weekend’s events. Make your own hotel reservations at The M (www.themresort.com) or at another hotel of your choice.
Friday night we will gather for an early cocktail party at The M.
Saturday morning, in conjunction with the Las Vegas Region, we will have what promises to be a spirited drive to Overton, NV through the Lake Mead National Recreation Area with lunch in Overton.
After a leisurely drive back to Las Vegas and some time to relax, the final event will be a catered BBQ dinner, open bar and visit to the car collection of Gary Ackerman, the Dealer Principal at Gaudin Porsche in Las Vegas with members of the Las Vegas Region. In addition to the cars, an entire Scottish bar, moved from Scotland will be the centerpiece of the BBQ and social. Gary Ackerman will host the event in his warehouse and the BBQ and open bar are compliments of Gaudin Porsche Las Vegas.

All-in-all, this weekend promises to be a fun-filled three days starting with our drive to Vegas. This event annually brings out a lot of club members interested in both the driving and Las Vegas experiences.
Itinerary
• Friday, April 15
– Leave from the Good Egg (I-17 and Carefree Hwy) at 10 AM (drivers briefing at 9:45). Arrive early and enjoy a hearty breakfast.
– Arrive in Vegas after lunch in or near Kingman
– Social hour(s) at a time TBD at The M Hotel.
• Saturday, April 16
– Drive through the Lake Mead National Monument with lunch in Overton (with members from the LV PCA). We will meet the Las Vegas club at approx. 8:30 AM at a location to be determined.
– Leisurely drive back to Las Vegas
– BBQ dinner and visit to the Gary Ackerman car collection. Time remains TBD but will be either 4 to 7 PM or 5 to 8 PM.
• Sunday, April 17
– On your own/return to Phoenix
Event requirements
There is no cost for this event, however, the number of people that can be accommodated for the BBQ and car show on Saturday is limited to 25 from the Arizona Region.
