It’s a Surprise Fun Rally Plus

 

On Saturday October 9^th AMR will have the final driving event of the season—a fun rally that includes some interesting driving/navigational tricks at the end. They are not really tricks, but that's the "Plus" at the end.

 

As usual, we will begin at the Garden of Gods Visitor Centers Café with a start time of 0930.  This will be a simple Rally with a variety of small challenges to the driving team to get on the correct course in order to answer the questions regarding photos and other sightings.  If you haven't run a rally before, don't be afraid as we will stay in town and finish at a familiar place so that even if you get off course, you won't really be lost.

 

The Q&A portion of the rally will be short—about 1 ½ hours in duration.  We want to save time for the other part of our driving event at the end. This part will be held in an empty parking lot.  However, this is NOT an autocross but a LOW speed event and I would be surprised if anybody goes much over 3 mph!

 

After the parking lot stuff, there will still be time remaining to enjoy the Porsche camaraderie and trophy presentation at a local German restaurant during lunch. We always seem to have a few members who show up just for the luncheon as that is fun too!

 

Cost of $25 will include coffee or juice and small snacks available at the Visitor Center Café.
