Advanced Performance Driving

Dakota County Technical College

About this event

On August 17th (the August Third-Thursday) ACGL is hosting a half-day performance driving experience for advanced drivers and driving instructors at the Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) in Rosemount, MN. This driving event is tailored to experienced drivers who wish to refresh and practice their skills on car control and driver safety. The event is going to take place on the DCTC law-enforcement and transportation training facility's track.  The facility will be configured for safely practicing car-control and vehicle dynamics at high-way speeds in the form of lapping.

Drivers must have completed previous high-performance driving (HPDE) schools and have been cleared to drive without an instructor (solo) as per the club's guidelines, or they must be an HPDE driving instructor. Drivers must bring a Snell 2010 or newer helmet and their vehicle must have passed a technical inspection.  The event will begin with registration on August 17th at 3pm and the last of two sessions will terminate at 9pm. Snacks and hydrating drinks will be provided on site.

The cost is $120 per attendee for the evening. Track will open at 4:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:00 p.m. There will not be run groups, which will give you more seat time.

Space is limited and spots fill quickly.  Early registration is recommended.
