JN Automotive Group has agreed to sponsor the Hawaii Region of the Sports Car Club of America 8th RallyCross of the 2013-2014 Season on Sunday, June 15, 2014. The RallyCross will be held at the Kualoa Ranch, Kaneohe, Hawaii. We are happy to announce the second ever SCCA RallyCross event at the Kualoa Ranch. Registration and Tech Inspection start at 8AM, Drivers Meeting at 9AM and heat 1 begins around 9:30AM. Course will be available for walking between 8:30 and 9AM. We will have a lunch break from 11AM to 12PM. After lunch we will finish the runs, we are planning on 8 runs if time allows. If we finish early, fun runs will be offered at no additional charge. Only cars and drivers/participants who competed in the event will be allowed on fun runs. The course may be altered for safety reasons during the lunch break. It may also be altered at any time should the Event Safety Steward deem necessary. The RallyCross will end at 5PM. All participants must remove their own rubbish and make arrangements to tow any non-running, un-safe or un-drivable vehicles from the event site.
While the event is not a spectator event (i.e. SCCA Hawaii Rally won't charge for viewing), we know that you may want to bring your family and friends to watch. Kualoa Ranch may limit the number of spectators due to parking area size or fire lane restrictions. Viewing areas are “outside” the barrier areas. Each participant will be allowed one “pit crew” and one “pit vehicle” in the paddock area. Pets are not allowed at SCCA events, RallyCross included.
Registration fees are $50 for current SCCA members and $65 for all others. There is a minimum pre-registration requirement for this event. T-Shirts with SCCA RallyCross logo will also be available for purchase on-line and delivered at the event. T-shirt costs are $15. Father's who participate will receive a RallyCross T-shirt or RallyCross License Plate Frame, dependent on availability.
Only checks or money orders payable to SCCA Hawaii-Rally will be accepted at the event.
Please note that the non-member fee includes an SCCA Weekend membership and will give you a $15-discount towards full SCCA membership, which includes a subscription to SportsCar (our national magazine).
Event requirements
Competitors must present a valid driver’s license, and if under 18-years of age, they must contact the Region for a waiver form. This form will need to be signed by the participant’s parents prior to competition.
Each competitor will be required to present their vehicle-fully muffled, seat belts in working order-to the Tech Inspection Team at 8AM. Vehicles shall not have leaking fluids or “enhanced” tires (no home-made studded tires). As well, vehicles with a high center of gravity or excessive noise may not be allowed to participate; this is at the discretion of the Event Chairman and Tech Inspector. A Snell SA-2000, M-2000 or newer helmet is required for all drivers and passengers.
Classes for the 2012-2013 Season shall be: Stock, Prepared, and Modified. Within each of these classes there are further breakdowns by all-wheel, front-wheel, and rear-wheel drive vehicles. You may download the 2012 RallyCross Rulebook from the www.scca.com.
