No pavement – No problem!
Come for morning of fresh air and scenic views. Finally a day for the four doors! Two doors are welcome to come too, if they aren’t scared! We will meet at Wolf Lodge Inn Restaurant, 11741 E Frontage Rd, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 at 9 AM. To get there, take I-90 to Idaho exit 22. Go East on E Frontage Rd for 1.25 miles to the Wolf Lodge Inn Restaurant.
The drive will be in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest. We will explore Treasure Mountain, Huckleberry Mountain and Windy Ridge. The loop is 30 miles but it will take us about 2.5 hours to drive. We will stop half way for a comfort break. Warning, there are no restrooms or out houses along the route. Just lots of trees. Four wheel drive is not required. Roads are dirt and, on the majority of the drive, the roads are fairly smooth. There are some narrow sections, a few ruts and lots of curves.
After the drive there are no formal activities. The oldest building in Idaho, the Cataldo Mission, is just down the road at exit 39 and there are plenty of great places to eat in Coeur d’Alene.
This is a free event. Register and sign waivers on Motorsportreg.com. Come with a full tank of gas, water and any other provisions to hold you over until lunch.
