Event requirements

The Motorsport Club of Ottawa has developed mandatory safety restrictions for autocross events at Lot 9 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
[MCO AUTOCROSS COVID-19 SAFETY RESTRICTIONS]

Registered participants MUST READ the safety restrictions document and MUST BRING the required personal supplies (mask(s), hand sanitizer, pen for personal use, filled out tech inspection form) to gain access to Lot 9.

Failure to have the required personal supplies when arriving at Lot 9 will result in participant disqualification without refund. Any participant caught breaking physical distancing rules will be asked to leave the event without refund.

Helmets

Everyone needs to bring their own helmet and it needs to be appropriately certified. Rental / loaner helmets ARE NOT AVAILABLE due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Details on appropriate helmets can be found hereSnell 2005 and older helmets are no longer accepted.

Mandatory Paperwork

All we need is a completed Self-Tech Form. You need to supply one completed form per car for every event. Please bring it, fully completed, including the competition number and the signature of the driver(s) in that car, to the event. Blank forms WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE onsite.

As always, participants are encouraged to have a professional mechanic complete the inspection. Our Title Sponsor, Ralf Koulaib of Canadian Tire's Carling Ave. location can assist with any and all inspection needs. Please call 613-725-3111, choose the menu options to get to Automotive Service and ask for Ralf.

Classing

MCO uses its own classing system. To determine your vehicle's class, please use the Excel Worksheet on this page.

If you know your SCCA class, we ask that you enter it as well when registering.

NOTE: Car numbers are unique and restricted to a specific class. This means that if you have used number 25 in one class, you cannot use it in another class. If you are switching classes, you will need to choose a new number.

Rules

It is every competitor's responsibility to understand the rules applicable to CASC-OR autocross events and the MCO Supplemental Rules, which can be found here.

Participation by Minors

Any prospective participant under the age of 18 must contact autocross@mco.org in advance of registering. Ideally, this contact should precede registration cut-offs by two weeks.

Insurance

Your road car insurance does not cover you during this motorsport event.
