Sandhills Motorting Festival
May 24 - 27
The inaugural 2018 Sandhills Motoring was very successful. We had 156 people register for at least one or more event during the three days. The participants were from 9 states with some coming from as far away as Ft. Wayne Indiana, Miami Florida, Hilton Head SC and Colorado Springs CO. The reason we had so many participants for the inaugural event was that we developed a following of participants from the previous two years in conjunction with the Pinehurst Concours. We built a full weekend of events around the one-day Pinehurst Concours.
Concours in the Village entries are limited to 125 automobiles.

Below, are the events that are planned this year:
Friday, May 24th
2:00pm-4:30pm Tour of Sport Leicht Automotive Restoration Shop, plus a tour of Innovation Performance Technologies. $10.00 per person.
5:00pm-8:00pm Informal Free Car Show for all Euro Marques at Little River Golf & Resort
Mercedes of Fayetteville, Porsche of Greensboro sponsored informal Car Show & Carolina BBQ plus music by Cousin Amy (5-piece Bluegrass Band)
6:00pm-8:30pm “Carolina Barbeque” Non-alcohol beverages are included plus cash bar will be available. Cost of the dinner is $32.00 per person, including tax and gratitude.
Saturday, May 25th
8:00am-12:30pm. Porsche plus other Marques Rally & Lunch at Little River. $10.00 per person. (PCA Rules), there MUST be a driver and a navigator in each car. Boxed Lunches available from Little River for $12.00 each.
9:00am-12:30pm. Drive the back roads of the Sandhills region to Mercedes of Fayetteville, tour of their new facility, lunch included. $15.00 per person.
9:00am-11:30am. Tour of Sport Leicht Automotive Restoration Shop, plus a tour of Innovation Performance Technologies. $10.00 per person. Lunch on your on in Pinehurst.
9:30am-1:30pm. “Ladies of Mercedes” Presents: “Insiders Tour of Pinehurst & Luncheon” A personalized driven tour with guide of the Village of Pinehurst, featuring several historic sites, shopping and followed by a luncheon. This is open to all of the participants regardless of the marque. It was a special treat for those who attended last year. $47.50 per person.
4:00pm-6:30pm Sandhills Motoring Festival "Wine Walk" through Pinehurst Village Wine tasting and progress appetizers while you visit the Village Shops. This is event is open to all participants and attendees. $25.00 per person.
6:30 to 9:00 Dinner either on your own in the various Pinehurst Village restaurants, or the SMF group dinner at Ironwood Cafe your choice off the menu with individual checks. Seating starts at 6:30pm and runs to 7:30pm. Reservations must be made through this web site and are limited.
Sunday, May26th
9am-3pm Sandhills Motoring Festival Euro Car Show on Streets of the Village of Pinehusrt, with winners announced on the Village Green at 2:00pm. $40.00 per car. This is open to all European Marques.
6:00pm-9:00pm. ALL MARQUES Cocktails & Awards Dinner in the Buckingham Room at Little River Golf & Resort, Cash bar cocktail hour with Hors d'oeuvres and buffet Dinner
$35.00 per person.
Monday, May 27th
6:00am-11:00am. Departure Brunch Departure Breakfast at Filly & Colts at Little River Golf
Cost for the Breakfast is $9.95 plus tax and gratitude to Filly & Colts
